  • AHHH WHAT IS THE SONG THAT IS IN THE BEGINNING!

  • Child Of Eden

  • Comment removed

  • 0:27 to 0:35 looks abit strange to me

  • "Virtual bands" are pretty amazing in how they keep up with their persona and innovative work. I don't want to compare them to anyone, but it's like combining Daft Punk with the Gorillaz and Vocaloid all at the same. ...Considering how the production team behind it themselves try to hide their identity, and creating a whole backstory (which even led to the video game Child of Eden and its connection with Rez) for their character...who she herself was created out of three women...

  • This is lovely. I want this mix.

  • Also, Gorillaz did it first

  • @TheMasat01 к черту gorrilaz

  • @TheMasat01 but Gorillaz sucks and Damian Albarn is a wanker

  • @CraigMammalton Gorillaz suck?! BLASPHEMY! BURN THE HERETIC!

  • Too bad vocaloid is an autotuned microsoft sam right?

  • does this remind anyone of Sharon Apple???

  • @thelegendaryl why yes we do! :D look up 39's givings day. Though it's not holographic (this isn't either; no concerts are - yet), the voice and dancer/singer are entirely computer generated. :D

    see also: MikuFes'09, Mikupa

p.s. - voices powered by Vocaloid2. Graphics by SEGA and Marza animation planet. Characters by Crypton future media.

  • Reminds me of the screens Nine Inch Nails used on their final tour.

  • Damn, this is one epic performance; Genki Rockets for the win.

  • I bet the metal version of this would be Genki ICBM´s with the title

hellish star... It`s about this star falling down to the ground.

That 15 KT blast that put an end to 2 entuire cities very fast...

There will be no memory and there will be no hope...

  • Actually, did you notice the water bottle in their hands? If it was in the West, then it would be beer bottles and what's that shit called? Tequila? They're having a good time, the only reason they are so disciplined is because they are SOBER. Don't see that much in the WEST at a concert. And I don't know if you're uneducated or just racists, but "Jap" is no longer a proper term, idiot.

  • Man, look at them japs just standing there and clapping. If that was over in the west EVERYONE would be jumping like there was no tomorrow

  • ヤスタカすごいな

  • Just brilliant - really enjoy this song :D

  • Jean Michel Jarre is pissed

  • Damn, youtube live was so much better in toyko! ;-;

  • Reminds me a bit of Daft Punk

  • @mariotaz yeah it does doesnt it

  • @TERRELL5300

Mainly because of the DJ that came up XD

But it's also got a remix beat similar to Daft Punk too

  • 0:25 he fucks the keyboard

  • @c3dr1cb That's how all the best live performances are done, silly. :P

  • its amazing how quiet the japanese audience r .. n not screaming n yelling so much tat u can hardly hear the actual song!

  • inspired by Daft Punk

  • I really wish the quality of the sound should be louder....i turn mine to the max but could not enjoy it thoroughly...

  • Personally, I much prefer Sound Horizon, but this is very entertaining as well!

  • Awesome Perf'!!

  • 俺の中で1番元気が出る音楽だね。この曲を最高のリミックスをつくってDJしてみたい。この曲には何度も救われた。札幌でのパーティーでは泣きそうなくらい感動した。

  • Daft Punk inspiration <3

  • I suddenly have an urge for a strawberry on the shortcake.

  • @DYvideos hahahahahah lol

    no more heroes references :)

  • Japanese just have everything good in the world. Genki Rockets being at the top of the list.

  • Kick Ass. The future of musical performance. Makes me wanna jump on a plane to Japan.

  • Hey guys! search up Ubisoft press Conference E3 Child of Eden... i was watching gameplay of some game and heard a distinct voice.... then it clikced it was soooo Genki Rockets, then boom i think Breeze starts to play and you even get to see Lumi dancing at the end! i guess its safe to say Genki Rockets is still doing very well and a new album isnt so far fetched.

  • lol Holographic technology will not be around for a while.. we are JUST delving into 3D!

  • @IchigoBankai01

Really, it's starting to be frequent in Japan to have holographic concerts. Like Miku Giving Day (VOCALOID Live Concert). Search it.

  • Astronaut DJ

    Awesome

  • Hmmm, it was okay but the intro was nearly three minutes long and overall the song felt oddly mellow most of the time. But then again I was concentrating on the VE a lot, which I reegret to say made me want to either vomit or have a seizure. I'm sure it looked good from the actual viewer's perspective, and I mean, props if you can do just about anything that involves wearing gloves and playing music, let alone a full replica spacesuit.

  • Im in love with this song even if it is only because of that continuous 4 note techno beat haha

  • ppl like to complaint now, may be bad economy or something. ppl lose their job, unbalance mine set will cause this

  • beautiful song and LED screen. They synchronized well with each other.

  • I cant tell if she is a vocaloid, she has the the voice and is not real. But this one is more realistic looking. But they both rock at singing. Oh and cool astronaut costume!!!! The show would be even better with no Gs!!!!!

  • @haruhidude not a vocaloid at all. :/

  • @haruhidude

she is not real? the singer is real.... =/

  • In japan, they can make live, sound as though it's on record or cd xD

    It's sooo goood! :D

  • Where can I download this version?

  • so this is what live is in japan :)

  • epic live..

  • Blueberry cheese brownie?

  • I really can't "see" the hologram, but I only see the girl on some kind of screen, like a moving picture on a projector screen.

    And lol at astronaut DJ.

    Daft Punk anyone?

  • she is the hologram. genki rockets is a couple of guys who made up an idol as the face of gr

  • Epileptic concert. O__O;

It's so cool how far technology have come, now we have holographic singers on stage. XD

  • @Dragon112287

i dont want to disappoint anyone, but sadly, this is not holographic.

i wish we had come that far in technology, as well

if you look, the place where the singer is is an entire wall like object, in which the lights are travelling through, to make the image that you see

but hey, thats a good advancement in technology as well

  • actually, it's a technology called Musion Eyeliner. You can search on wikipedia, it's true.

It's like a very thin metallized film that's stretched on the scene and projectors in the floor. So any "real" artist can walk in front of the film and it looks like they walk beside the "3-D" artists ;)

  • I wish they release a new CD soon

  • ANARCHY IN THE GALAXY!!!!!

  • japanese are legends

  • Happy Birthday LUMI...

  • No more heroes...

  • once again im watching this, i cant stop!! hahahaha

  • the more i see this vid, the more i like it!! amazing efects!!! and what a nice song!!

  • seroiusly the japanese are fucking kings of techno. you can defiantly see where extacy originated from.

  • yeah i can see where extacy originated from. totally.

  • I wish people would just shut up about the information behind this and enjoy the damned music!

They made it to be enjoyed, and you turn into a competition. -_-"

There are websites and private messages for information. Use those.

  • @NukaColaQuantumVault It's what America's turned into unfortunately...entirely clueless on how to actually appreciate for what it is and, instead, critique it into the ground. Ignore the message, forget that this is something that's supposed to be enjoyed...America wants to squeeze thier every penny out of thier entertainment and when they're done counting pennies - they've missed the show. Pity, neh? THIS...was an awesome performance. Thank God for Lumi (...yes, I know that sounds absurd). XD

  • this song is showing in the game no more heoros :D i love it ^^

  • It's too bad this isn't in HD.

  • I really, really agree.

  • I dont get the damn daft punk refference as they sound nothing like them.

MSTRKRFT sounds like daft punk but this is completly different type of music.

  • wow if that was shown here people will be going crazy

  • its totally different than daft punk. stop being so ignorant. daft punk doesn't put a bunch of girl's voices together to create one like these guys did.

  • so daft punk, like songokussj3 said good song tho : )

  • How about making an animated series about her?

  • one thing that's amazing about genki rockets:IT'S MADE BY A GAME DEVELOPER TEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Japanese version of Daft Punk :D

  • Dayumm.

    Awesome effects.

    Stuff only Japan can do/have.

    D:

  • 凄く感動しました。

  • why is she on a screen thing?

why doesnt she show herself in person ?

    O.o

    sum1 plz reply

  • Because Lumi is not real. She's a computer generated person. The closest you can get to her is Rachel Rhodes and Nami Miyahara, the speculated voice and model for her.

  • If you pause the heavenly star video, and skip through the frames; You can clearly see a real person in some of the shots, not a sketch.

  • Lumi isn't real but her singers are Rachel Rhodes and Nami Miyahara are real though never on stage cause of the bands fictional character, Lumi. She is not a vocaloid. Vocaloids sound FAR more robotic.

  • because she's made up by a game developer called Tetsuya Mizuguchi

  • This remix should totally be in No More Heroes 2. lol You have to fight the model from Genki Rockets and this is her battle theme.

  • this was probley the most coolest thing ive seen i love the genki rockets also perfume does some awsome live shows :)

  • how trippin =]

    i love it

  • I think Genki Rockets got even more famous because of No more heroes~

    Lumi<3

  • Wasn't it Lumines II lumi(Genki Rockets) first debuted.

  • Yes, but I do believe No More Heroes garnered more notice for it than Lumines did.

  • First, That is one rockin' astronaut :)

Second, I wanna marry the model of their videos ;)

  • my absolute fav part at 6:40.

I love Genki rockets, they are one of my favorite bands EVER~! ^^

  • you're right, the albums are better

  • awe... I just checked this comment. Im at -5 votes on it all cause i've bashed the song :( It's just my personal opinion. Concerts should be fun and full of energy. This song MAYBE would be okay in another situation, but I see everyone in the crowd and hear no cheering or movement.

Dont get me wrong, I LOVE Genki Rockets, just not their concerts.

  • Ohhhh. Looks good. Didnt know we have something like that here. Thanks for showing it to me :D

  • Can someone that lives in Japan tell me how Youtube sold this show in Japan. In the US, it was sold like a Youtuber gathering with major entertainers there. In Japan it seems like it was sold as a concert with Youtubers as opening acts. So the crowd seems to be there to see the musical acts instead of a crowd of Youtubers looking to meet other Youtubers. Maybe the US crowd just sucked. LOL!!!

  • Uhm... is it just me or is this some re-incarnation of Daft Punk? I like the sound, though.

  • I thought the same thing when I first heard this DJ, he/she has a really unique style..looking forward to more!

  • It looks like asimo

  • Yup, I thought the same thing! When I showed this to my boyfriend he was like "pfft" cuz he hates any artist who uses a synthesizer "to cover up their bad voice" I was like this is their "style"! It has nothing to do with covering up a bad voice! Grrr! Guess I found out he's not an electronica lover LOL.

  • chingo un 10

  • Why can't we have something like this here in america?

I love everything about japan. They're just so unique.

  • I used to think the same thing. =\

  • This is why I love Japan. So creative!

  • Reminds me of daft punks live performances.

    AMAZING

  • oo pretty colors!!!

  • arrigato gozaimas for the entertainment.....and in the words of Austin Powers...HOLOGRAPHIC BABY!

  • FUCK BOA! Bring this guy in the space suit to America.

  • Shiny. ~ <3

  • all the cool technology and flash lights and stuff would gave to be in tokyo

    ^_^

  • i love the dj's outfit

  • YAY! DJ METALMOUSE! (the astronaut)

sounds like the mixes in my account.. lmao check it out, i got about 3 songs by them uploaded, and it actually sounds like a mix of the beginning. x3

  • Re-posted?

  • I love Tokyo!

  • me too ^.^

  • third

  • かっちょよい!

  • Nice!
