hey i tried doing exactly what you said, and i watched so many other tutorials, but my simulation still doesn't work. i made duplicates of one object and made sure that they all had emiters. then i selected all of them and clicked on collect meshes>GO, but nothing happened. all the cubes turn white, except for one of them, and i can see like small little green squares. but it doesn't work, i don't know why. can you pls help me out here? i would greatly appreciate it. thanks!

You are the radiosity master!!!
sojourn9229 2 years ago
I really wish Blender was able to do animated radiosity. :(
Asdam12 2 years ago
what do you mean?
THkaas 2 years ago
With the current version radiosity is permanent and only supports a single frame.
Asdam12 2 years ago
i always thought you could keyframe just anything... but maybe in 2.5...
THkaas 2 years ago
Hopefully. :)
Asdam12 2 years ago
it is able to, press f10 go to the render buttons button the go to the render window and click radio.
mrprofile101 2 years ago
That doesn't actually render Radiosity, I've tried it.
Asdam12 2 years ago
Wait scratch that, it does!

Whenever I try to render radiosity... It doesn't do anything (BLACK)

Did you assign any materials to emit light?
Asdam12 2 years ago
@sojourn9229
either you dont have any object emiiting light or you havent seleced more than one object sojourn.
first make sure you have an object thats emitting light by sliding up the emit slider in the shaders tab.
than select the emitting object PLUS (shift + right click) all objects you want being effected by that light.
than:
collect meshs>GO>replace meshes

How do you render radiosity?
sojourn9229 2 years ago
Do you think that anyone can get good enough to do that?! Because, I am willing to learn!
sojourn9229 2 years ago
When you combine meshes ( what it automatically does when you solve a radiosity scene) it keeps the materials originally assigned.

That was pretty good, but how did you get the RayMirror to work with the radiosity?
