I have a probem...when i press "z" i enter the painting mode, i see the light cone and everything, but when i start to paint it starts to add clay to model instead of texturing. Please help.
FFS. There are only ever objects in scenes. whether they're the model or image planes or whatever. Zbrush has gone about this ass backward and it's turned something PAINFULLY simple into an over the top production.
I hate spotlight so much. why can't it just be like photoshop with some buttons on the side with names that pop up so that you have a clue what it's going to do. That damn widget is always getting in the way, too. I wish you could just simply clone stamp from any image on screen (from other applications, too) and paint right on the model and bypass all this crap. Pixologic, I'm so disappointed in you.
My answer has been solved: since the Polypaint is basiclly mapped to my GUV tiles, I cannot use decimation master to crunch/optimize the highpoly mesh.
@Jskills4ever Yes. Both Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood used it. I also believe Dragon Age: Origins had, too, because they had a spotlight on the zBrush homepage.
awesome tutorial..thanks

Any sophisticated technical artist here that can answer my question.
I wanna export my Highresolution mesh plus vertex color information (polypaint + UAV tiles ) to Xnormal, so I can render out normal + diffuse map)
But because my mesh is around 14 million polygons, would it be possible to decimate the mesh before I export.
You see polypaint information depends on vertex data kindalike vertexpaint, so decimating the mesh really screws up the local data information
