if only they raced with engines like this in the nowadays' f1 too :/ and sadly the track is quite curvy, the car sounds SWEET when the pedal is kept to the metal on a longer straight
@moptim Give thanks that the track is "quite curvy". The curves, rises and downhills on this 3 mile track are what make it so much of a challenge and so much fun. I'm not generating 3 G's in my Miata on this track, but 1 G is still plenty of fun. It may take me 2.5 times as long to circle the track, but I'm pushing just as hard, hitting the 7,000 rpm redline, punishing the brakes and tires, and having a blast. Try it if you can at your local road course. Any reasonable car can be fun.
@milano61 that is a nice car. whin i get my drivers lisence i am asking my dad for a car like that eccept a supera. is that car a 2 door? and is the ingine stock?
Just out of curiosity, can you tell me why you quickly put it into third before second when changing down from fourth to second? also are you actually engaging the gear, or just keeping the clutch in whilst doing so?
Very nice video, i've watched it a couple times today and yesterday, i hope you make some more of this car, really nice to see some of the old March's still going strong :)
Great video. Nice to see I take the same lines in my Miata, they just seem to take a lot longer for me. I never had a problem with 5th though, never seemed to use it.
Nice 'catch'. Yes, I missed the upshift to 5th. Later that day we modified the shift linkage to elimate the tendency for my elbow to foul on the corner of the seat insert. There's not a lot of room in these cars and a little change to the shift rod length did the trick.
Seriously exciting to watch. That must be what it is like to wrestle to the death with thunder and lightening. Fantastic sound, and some really great driving. Thanks for sharing. :)
Now, that's some proper engine sound. Glad to see you've managed to capture both video and audio properly. Nothing beats growl of Cossies and whine of Matras and Ferraris from late '60s / early '70s. And although 741 was one of an ugly son of a b... in my opinion, it's great to see this example so beautifully restored. Good luck running it in historic events and remember to keep uploading new onboards for us!
Great video.. Looks like real fun to drive as you can see the fight back through the steering not like modern cars

Wonderful Vid'...
To this day there is still nothing to beat the noise and urgency of a Cosworth DFV shouting its head off.

Nice camera, I loved the sound it captured and the frame rate to pick up your tires gathering slag.

No commets, it´s a really show of performance and shor. Unfortunally nowadays we can´t see this anymore on the races around the world.

Nice! I thought we were on for a "over-rev" at 4:10, was it a missed upchange or a mistaken downchange?
