  • 太棒了!我也想買一台!

  • could you also do a comparison between david eden 800 and their 4x10 1k cab & the Gk gallien kruger 800 amp that weighs 5lbs and 4x10 cab @700w that weighs about 78lbs cause Im trying to get away from the weight but i don't want to loose the sound & quality so could you help out

  • hope you're getting paid well because you just sold me this thing...

  • I love your reviews, but the best thing is watching / hearing you play. Great playing, so musical and mature.

  • @paulpaul00 - Mature? Being old helps! But seriously, thanks.

  • @BassGuitarMag - Oh, sorry! English is not my main language. My comment was not meant negative at all. I wanted to say, that your playing shows a lot of experience and versatility. I am in my late 40's and have no problem with the age of anybody. So please excuse my choice of words.

    Kind regards,

    Paul

  • @paulpaul00 - No problem... I was joking... next time I use smiley face - international symbol for "I'm kidding". ;)

  • what was that little guy on the drum wit the p bass

  • Very nice video and introduction of this little gem. That is what happened if a Bass Player from Luxembourg, Jaques Ruppert always questioned his sound before this box, and a German sound engineer Burkhard Lehle famous for his high quality manufacturing get together to create this piece of a "must have" for a bass player.

Anyway it doesn't really matter it is a great kit and worth the money the quality is stunning....just saying, I am saving already....

  • I hope Ernie Ball will contact you to do a 4 hour long review of the Game Changer

  • Made in germany! You know the germans always make good stuff. This basswitch will make you go "wow" every time.

  • switch army knive??????!!!! ROFL

  • Hey i have a quick question, how do u feel about electric upright basses?

  • @fatmaru - I like them in theory, but have yet to find one that doesn't present some type of compromise. I've owned a few, but it's either the sound or feel that isn't quite right for my taste.

  • If ONLY. this wasnt so goddamn expensive....

  • @giggs102 - Well, in some ways, the fact that it's in pedal form is misleading. Most people associate pedals with a certain price range... but this is a serious piece of gear. It's studio quality quiet, and tonally pristine. My first reaction was like yours, but after using it for a while, I don't think it's over priced. We have become accustomed to cheap products that look right, but don't sound good or last very long. This sounds great and is built to last.

  • Hey Ed how about some links to some of your Music?

  • @Brunomacias89 - I have a bunch of stuff on my website edfriedland (dot) com.

  • Totally unrelated but, How many basses do you own?

  • @dobbs123456789 - A bunch.

  • Lol, excellent swiss-army knife joke!

  • (got wine in the system)

  • Sounds like an advanced science class? thoughts rotating in my mind around six minutes in to the video; "Impressive indeed, but woah maaan, lot of thinking.."

  • Very helpful, Ed. A question: with Basswitch in Bypass, is it dead flat - 'straight wire' - or is there some degree of alteration/coloration of the bass signal?

  • @IndependentlyBlue - It's a buffered bypass. I think it has a beneficial effect on the tone. Listen to the sound in the DI section, first example is Channel B, bypass mode. It sounds awesome. I hear it through the amp too, it's a "sweet" tone - like it's been mastered.

  • I am new to the upright bass (played electric for 30+years) and I am still trying out different brands of upright strings. What kind are you using here? Thank you.

  • @hinezilla - I'm using Obligatos on this bass. Nice string, bows well too.

  • What does a bass compressor do to the signal exactly. Sorry for the noob question but nobody uses it where i live or knows why

  • @chhppx - This pedal is not a compressor.

  • One of the best things that's ever happened to my bass playing is finding your videos. Even the gear reviews like that help my playing by getting me to try new things or understand new things in a different way.

Even if it's equipment I'll probably never have, I see things like this and if I like it I get into the studio sand say "Now, how can I do THAT with this?"

  • I really like the sounds coming out of this box and I also could use it pretty good in a gig with my active Warwick and the passive Precision, but I think the knobs and buttons are hard to handle if you're in a top 40 band or something like that. So I would prefer the EBS Microbass or the David Eden Pedal Preamp.

  • It was way more fun watching the highly informative review you did on the Basswitch than watching the demos they broadcast on theyr website. Too much tech-talk. I loved your examples - and the sounds you had with the Basswitch. Killer tone with all basses, but I liked the JazzBass and the Juzek (?) best. Don't stop doing reviews on video! ;-)

  • Seems like a higher end version of the Radial Tonebone.

  • Whats your favorite string configuration

  • @milezcarpetpython - I prefer more than one string, but in a pinch... at least one.

  • I've read about amp designs and how different input impedance affect the sound, but this is the first time I'd heard it A/B'd like that. Wow!

  • Killer slap sound!!!

    O.O

  • badabom badabim

  • @MrLillofigo - Uhm, that's "Bada boom, bada bing". That's Italo-American for "fuggehdaboutit".

  • Great review! I wish more companies will look to you to review their new gears. :)

  • Great preamp! Sounds amazing!
