Baiba is a sensational violinist! She's one of the amazing Skride sisters: Lauma plays piano and Linda plays viola. When Viktoria Mullova restrings her violin with gut strings and uses a baroque bow, she still uses vibrato. Giuliano Carmignola also uses tasteful vibrato..

certainly a valid opinion. i like hearing Bach on a period instrument with minimal vib, like Sergio Luca's recordings. i also like it played with a more modern style. they both work when played by a great artist. how do you feel about Bach keyboard music played on a 9 foot Steinway?

Abviously the Jury found her "vibrato" to be absolutely perfect and appropriate for Bach
