All my schoolmates went to Mexico for our H.S. Senior trip. I tried to convince them to come to Omaha, but only one listened. All we did was end up with seats behind home plate looking down the right field line as the ball left the yard and did some underage celebratory drinking at Barret's after the game
I was at this game. It is one of my favorite sporting moments from my childhood, even though I am not an LSU fan. Great game and great sporting moment.
ahhh!! i hate this video!@!! im a cane fan (i bleed green and orange) and i was watching this live and when that fucker hit the homerun i teared up and went nuts. i broke so much crap that day and said the most curse words ever.
I was at the Sports Illustrated Bar in Tigerland with 3 fellow employees 2 just there to watch the game, and when the Warren Morris home run was hit we made enough noise for 400 instead of just 4.
When LSU was down 7-3 in the 7th I started walking in circles around my living room and I never stopped until Morris hit the greatest homerun I've ever seen.
Most memorable moment in memory. I think every LSU fan on the planet can pretty much tell you exactly where they were and what they were doing the moment that Warren Morris jacked that homer over the fence.

You can see my dad pushing me to get the ball. I got a hand on it but some other guy got it.

I think bits of Hawthorne remain in the pressbox since that game.

Jim Hawthorne almost died after he hit that home run.
