  • Bad video. Mumble sucks.

  • Ventrilo 2:10

    Mumble 3:00

  • I like mumble but I wish they would have an option to display ping on the window instead of clicking server then connect and having another window up.

  • TeamSpeak<3 but mumble is good to :)

  • LOL VINTRILO

  • test

    tits

    test

    tits :P

    good test

  • You can get free mumble server here (really free):

    ukgame.com/voice_servers/murmur_mumble_voice_servers.html

  • It's too bad you just say "Test"

Why not an entire sentence lol? Great video anyway

  • @RadGH Because if it's a simple word you only say you can notice the latency in there. If you say full sentence you would talk over yourself so it would sound awful.

  • lol wow who gives a fuck about whats the best server shit vent skype or mumble, shit, all i use them for is talking. not for the high technical nerd shit.

  • @Dano78229 All I can say is, shit shit shit, shit... shit shit shit.

  • @Dano78229 "best server shit"? Skype isn't even like mumble and vent. And if "high technical nerd shit" means "hey I like instant voice communication rather then waiting a few seconds" then sure, this is "high technical nerd shit". Otherwise I'm betting you're on the low end of the IQ chain for not understanding this guys point of making the video. L2growbrains

  • @Dano78229 Just Go, you are too insignificant to be here

  • haha, owned

  • Plase use local servers and configure the client correctly. It is possible to get a lot better results with mumble. Note especially "Audio per packet", "Output delay" and "Default jitter buffer". You should also compare Speex and Celt.

  • Come and try the power of mumble illimity.

    mumble-illimity com

  • "If you want to start multiple TeamSpeak 3 clients, simply launch the TeamSpeak 3 client with the "-nosingleinstance" commandline parameter." We need a ts3/vent/mumble comparison, hell maybe skype too?, preferably one that is fairly short/quick and to the point :) good video nonetheless

  • Good demonstration of the difference between the two.

  • I think Skype is the moste practical software to use for communication

  • @kringkingen with just a few people. it can't even support more than 10 and 10 alone would be rediculous

  • @kringkingen

    Not for any gaming applications.

  • Mumble is looking rather good in this video. I have only heard good things about it, might be time to try it out myself. Also shout out to the Kiwis!

  • My ping to my mumble server is average 5 ms :)

and my users tell me it usually never goes above 50

  • @GunnarAztek

Ya well, it depend on where in the world they connect from, how its routed and so on.

  • @taz82 well the thing is that i only allow users within my country (Iceland) to connect.

  • I am all for Mumble. I had Ventrilo for 4-5 years, and it served me well.

I switched to Mumble in February... couldn't be happier. It's so much quicker and the voice quality is much better than both Vent and TS3.

Find [USA] Gaming in the United States list of mumble servers if anyone wants to join.

  • Perfect.

  • Good, conclusive test btw, forgot to say.

  • Agree with Megagoth and yourself. Mumble seems to be far better in latency and far better voice codecs. I mean, I did have my own Vent and on the highest codec, the voice still wasn't as sharp in quality (although the Mumble wasn't mine, so not sure of exact codec used) compared to mumble.

Hopefully this will convince my CSS clan to finally make the switch. They are still clinging to vent.

P.S Found this for another gaming clan through google unintenionally. Used it since. Best mistake ever =D

  • duuude this video is perfect. :) thank you very much for this test! its just perfect, same server, beautiful picture quality, much more clean than mine, hehe. :)

spread mumble! lets take over the VOIP world. ;)

note: i am not a mumble DEV, i simply love the software.

    have a very nice day!

if you can get two TS3 instances to work anyhow, tell me! i need to test that as well since people are complaining.

  • @M3G4G0TH Cheers mate - your video was good, but I had to see the difference for myself :)

Agreed, I was very impressed with Mumble!
