i recently brought a new wii cos my old one broke, i transfered my games onto an sd card and now my new wii won't let me play those games. is there any way to be able to play them
When i move my wii channels from the wii system memory to the SD card, i still keep the data and i understand that i can just hit the little SD card tab down the bottom to get to the channels/games.
but when i do move them from wii system memory to SD card, when i go back to the standard, home wii channel page, there are various spaces remaining between channels, the ones which i have moved to the SD card have gone but leave a vacant space inbetween two other channels.
When i try to move or copy a game from save data to my 2 GB SD card it does not let me. the move and copy buttons are not lit up. it says if i click on it it says "This file can not be moved". Do you know what to do? PLEASE HELP.
Ugh, I made a huge mistake. I sent my Wii into Nintendo and I put all of my channels on an SD card. When I got my Wii back, I put the card in and tried to play a game. I was shocked to find that my save data for that game was gone. I figured out what to do, but I accidentally erased one game's data and now I have to beat it again. Oh well, atleast it didn't happen to all of my games.
How do you transfer game data, like mario kart liscenses, from one wii to another? I recently bought a new wii, and I tried to copy my old information to my new wii. My old wii will not let me transfer my SSBB and MK ect. data onto the sd card. Can anyone help? PLEASE!!!
im so glad i got my wii unlocked. i have so many games now its ridiculous!
i tried figuring it out on my own and bricked my wii, then a guy on a forum suggested I go to this website: FastWiiUnlocker (dot) info - which turned out to be much easier and fast as hell. if your having trouble unlocking your wii or just want it done fast, check out that site
question, why can't I save my brawl data from my wii to sd card. My cousin can save his brawl data on his sd card but I can't. Is it my sd card I have a kingston technology micro sd. The only stuff I have on my sd are my dsi pics, movies to see on the wii photo channel and private wii and dsi data.
how can i move around the icons for my games in the wii windows ? i want all my favorite games to show up on the first set of blocks .. is this possible ?
I have encountered this problem before also. If you upload them from the SD card menu, they should be playable. Usually, the major issue with most games not playing is that the amount of memory available on your system is not equivalent to the amount of memory required for the game to play. I would suggest moving one of your larger files from your WiI system memory to your sd card, and then trying to launch the game from the sd card menu.
I'm sorry to hear that, the only thing that I can tell you at this point is it is not working for one obvious reason that you may already know, there might be a problem internally with your Wii.
I would suggest talking to customer service at nintendo about it, because honestly, i have never experienced this problem before.
I only plan on getting like 5 games and maybe a few classic downloaded ones when I get my Wii for Christmas. Would I really need an SD card? or would I be all set. Also, do you have any suggestions to play Brawl online. Nobody comes over to play at my house anymore. :(
As of right now, no you will not need an sd card, because you are only downloading a few titles, and getting 5 games for it, which will not take up much memory space on your wii. If you plan on downloading anymore after that, then you should get an SD card just to be on the safe side.
As for playing brawl online, you can add your friends wii codes from that game to brawls in-game friend list, and play versus matches against them, or just play against random people.

@max536drago Unlikely. Games with online play usually cannot be transfered to an SD card, but try anyway.
