  • I have listened to this before here, Tom, and been left with a little smile, more rapid breathing, and a quicker pulse. I thought I had commented previously, but must have been too undone by your reading to push the "post" button. A delightful, delectable, diversion. Thank you.

  • voice is amazing...=)

  • Hmmmmmmmmmm

    I like your poem.

  • I am enormously found of this poem, but until now only had heard one great reading. This is the second masterclass reading and it's even more droll with the considerable authority of that wonderful voice.

  • Very interesting words. Ending was beautiful and clever.

  • lmao hahaha! everytime i hear this poem i cant help but laugh.

  • This is an excellent way to read poetry.

  • I think your wonderful voice could make any poem sound more then it is.I really don't go much on the poem at all but your performance was something very special.

  • you read it so beautifully :)

  • There are some wonderful poems written with the overt intent to seduce. But neither Waller (Go lovely Rose!), nor Dowson (Non sum qualis eram) got the girl.

I once had a young woman make a play for me by translating one of my pieces into her first language.

I think they are better at that sort of thing than we are.

  • is this actually john fuller reciting this????

  • No, it's me, Tom O'Bedlam. I read all the poems in the SpokenVerse Channel.

  • I don't know him, but he's brilliant. Brilliantly read too, this sort of thing exactly fits your voice and approach - quietly lecherous!

  • you'll find no resistance here. dear.

    ~ Beautiful.

  • I've read and always loved this poem; his attention to detail; observance to femininity in physique as well as the coy demureness so associated with play, i.e. - facial expressions, subtle movements, etc. However, not once heard it read. One mark of an excellent reader is when the audience actually experiences the emotions of seemingly being read to; exclusively. I am certain cummings himself could not have penned such a sentiment better than as here read.

    Amazing delivery. I'm still flushed.
