  • Pointless video .. MORON!!

  • twat

  • Idiot, you're blocking the antena signal with your hand.

  • take this vid down or change the name plz!

  • See how you can guarantee to make & receive calls on an iphone 4 with no call drops?

    at my page

    myzippy13

  • who buys an iphone 4 and doesn't buy a case for it? bascially any decent case eliminates this issue.....

  • @slimshady31. Press the home button twice then the multitasking bar will come up. Swipe to the left and you'll see a icon with that symbol on it tap it and the symbol at the top will go away.

  • Just double tap the home button and once you get the multitasking option, you'll see an icon that looks like a lock tap it and that should enable the landscaping mode and the full keyboard as well..

  • ?????

  • lol okay no idiot holds his or her fone tiqht as hard as they can with all five of there fingers

  • got a question.. my iphone4 has a lock symbol on the top right of the screen.. that lock is preventing my iphone from going to widescreen mode or full keyboard... can anyone help me? please

  • ifail 4 XP

  • hhhhhhhaaa hhaaaaa lol

very funny iphone. go hell . SAmsung Galaxy rocks

  • this prob is only in the states theres no reception issues on any Canadian phone companies running on the iphone4

  • Its all on Apple. My 4 has a shotty antenna too.

  • seriously, dude, you call this 'IMPROVING'? More like 'how to set down iPhone 4. What, are you going to call like that?

  • omg ! terrible mistake xd

  • funny enough my samsung eternity has the same signal loss if you hold it this way.

  • thank god i dont hold my phone that way

  • why should you grip it this way?

but despite all what anti apple said.......it's still the best phone in the world

for me i can't wait till it arrive to my country i'm dying to have it ..... but i'm in one of the 17th country :(

  • what a load af crap this video is fucking shit it tells you nothing on how to improve the signal/reception on the phone.

dont waste my time you stupid retarded prick

  • It's funny, because Apple has made this ONE mistake and people jump all over it, but the Evo is getting no crap for it's 1/2 hour battery life because HTC makes poop for phones all the time. Just means Apple is a better company and the public expects more of them.

ONE mistake from Apple = "Dooms Day! AHHHH!"

FIFTY mistakes from anyone else = "ehh... I could hold it differently, maybe put a case on it..."

  • @Roboto578 HA, i heard a awesome quote from someone earlier. If your going to hype your product, your going to hype the issues brought with it.

  • yeah i think they got flustered by the guy who found the lost iphone 4 and gave us all a sneek peek and missed this crutial aspect of af a serious hardware flaw - really youd think this would be one of the first things that would be tested throughout the development thru the release of the iphone4, or maybe they were paid to release it like this knowingly by some other big companie , now im getting more into conspiracy theory's lol.

  • No! Everyone is wrong! This problem is not only with the iPhone 4! Also the 3GS! I was experimenting and found out, that if you cover the bottom halves of the sides of the iphone 3GS, the bars go down!!! This is not just a problem with the iPhone 4! I hope the word of this gets out to people!

  • @firechopperrider dude of frickin course thats what people call death grip that can break your phone

  • I've tried different holds to drop signal but it's fine for me. I suggest u go to AT&T or apple and have it replaced

  • read apples message about it its not that its the bar displays messed up

  • now, who holds a mobile phone like that?! can someone post a video of how the reception drops if the mobile phone is held normally instead of some weird contrived grip?

  • @bttfiii I hold my phone like that all the time. I'ts called being left handed.

  • so i also have the iphone 4 and the best i could do was make it go from 5 bars to 4. so my experience is the reception is fine and if you dont have reception, hold it different^^

  • I'm afraid they would release an update that would calibrate the signal bars to show full bars whatever the signal status is, even the real thing is 1 bar it'll show 5 bars ehich is a lie but just to comprimise people who complain over this then it is still a hardware defect , and ppl are living with iPhone 4 and lies.

  • @KimberIie ok, after updates it still show 5 bars, and it still drops calls, then what?this is just pure idiot, how the hell the apple engineers could't find out this problem before releasing this phone?

  • Why did you title this "How to improve"?

al you did was show us what most know.

  • Recieved my Iphone4 from O2 today and its the same. Hold the phone in normal way and it goes from 5 bars to 1 bar and loses 3G connection. Remove my hand and it goes back up to 5 bars. Sending it back and will use my Iphone 3G which I have loved!

  • Its better to buy few months after the buying frenzy when demands drops, so factory in china also slows down production, a little bit of attention to quality, glitches from first wave frenzy will be addressed by then and and usually in few months after introduction, price will drop a little bit.

  • a defect whatever apple call it, it was not caught, costumers did, Mr Jobs must defend it and make u all believed its not a defect coz a recall would be a desaster. Keep in mind that the factory in china is forced to produce huge quantities of this phone to exceed demands, so they must cut many corners too, and if glitches showup, just deal with it later

  • @TNEBHawkStreet this happens on my 3gs and my bros 3g. i dont think its just the 4.

  • "Your holding it wrong, or simply buy one of our $29 Bumper cases" - Steve Jobs

  • @ChiefLinesider07 the bumper case dosnt even help..and its ugly as fuck

  • @TNEBHawkStreet well if they give a free bumper to every purchaser of an iphone 4, it should fix things

  • Its just a omission in users guide! Next revision will include a note of how to hold your iphone. Slowly iphone will control your life. Next gen wil reqire to lift your leg to make phone calls LOL. Phon is phone pick it up and make calls. Thats it!

  • Hmmmmmm, might have a look at the droid phones instead, the new Milestone xt750 looks good

  • Smoke and mirrors fags, keep buying these bullshit products and Jobs will keep telling you lies, oh who I'm I kidding all these stupid fanboys will say is buy a bumper.

  • @rockwitit123 "oh who I'm I kidding"....really? Learn to properly make a sentance before you go throwing around useless shit. Your probably rocking a nokia hahaha.

  • @Fr0mFirstoLast22 Go fuck yourself fag. Is that clear enough.

  • @rockwitit123 Ohhh the fag thing haha. The only thing thats clear is that your afraid of gay people, which is sad. Your name is "RoCkWitIT" sweeeeeeeeet. haha

  • @Fr0mFirstoLast22 maybe you need to learn to spell sentence correctly.

  • @xXMacTechTalkXx I really do need to learn to spell that word. Really tho, i always spell that wrong and get called out on it. MacTechTalk- 1 FFTL- 0

  • Just avoid holding it in that way ™

  • @kakaruto2k4 haha nice

  • Why would you hold a phone hard and also you could just hold it with the left thumb instead of the whole like left side of your pad on left hand. Get real people

  • Iphone 4 bumpers is not a case. Its a cover-up.

  • This was the first thing that came up to my mind that might happen when I notice about the new design of the iPhone, and it really did happen...

  • @ayxn00 Why??

  • Very nice man. Thanks for sharing!

    youtube(.)com/watch?v=hCXuBegM9oo&feature=player_embedded

  • CHECK YOU EMAIL, STEVE JOBS. I think you might have a message.

  • Lol evo ftw baby!!!

(Holding phone in left hand by the way lol)

  • iphone fails, fuck now ill have to go with galaxy s

  • It's obvious, Steve Jobs hates lefties

  • how annoying

  • Steve Jobs said people should not be holding it this way.

  • @simbeane yea but that is bullshit, because in this video watch?v=NJR87_fqq5M while showing the video chat, the one guy is always holding his phone in the bottom left. This is just bs he is saying cause he doesn't want his stocks to go down for making an amazing phone obsolete.

  • Well at least ppl can't blame AT&T this time.

  • so now you can only use phone or 3g without touch ur phone! that's a nice feature... thumb me up!

  • ANDROID FTW

  • @TNEBHawkStreet stfu u fag HAHAHAH!

  • DROID!

  • it's not Apple, it's AT&T! :)

  • I thought this will be my first iPhone, but it won't.

  • @ChristophMC same here...:(

  • I tried sticking mine up my rectum, but still no

    improvement...

  • @shunyou2000 That Stinks LOL

  • Maybe you need an iGlove to hold your phone. :))

  • @silver1408 made my day

  • Apparently it does it now with the 3G when upgrading to iOS4. It is not just an iphone 4 thing anymore..it is more of a software thing

  • @Soonerball09

I hope your right about that, just maybe thiscan be sorted with a simple software update if 3G's are being affected when upating to iOS4

  • LOLL wowwwwww that is soooo useless and sad...great invention apple ! good job. thanks for helping me decide whether to switch to iphone or not...im sticking with my blackberry now.

  • how is this "how to improve iphone 4 reception" ? ppfffft

  • @monkmaster5 don't hold the phone while you're using it, for improved reception

  • My phone arrived 4 hours ago, I am having the same issue! What a bunch of shit, black eye for apple for sure

  • maybe you just have fat signal reducing hands....

  • @SteveSteves11 Americans made this phone.... they should have saw this coming by your analogy.

  • @MetalShin0bi it doesnt matter who made it, its glass and metal, its will break

  • You know what this mean, magneto:) (x-men)

  • Have you tried holding it in your right hand? I usually do when I'm making calls.

  • @markbyrn Left handed people exist.

  • @deathgrindcheese But theyre not worth speaking of.

  • What in the.. first the yellow spots, now this? *tries not to be too dramatic*

  • it may be a software bug, check this youtube link : youtube(dot)com/watch?v=9rfr3TYtuR8

  • @nepul its a hardware fault since the outer metal frame is an antenna and holding onto the device will effectively ground the unit making reception bad. Thou apple already has the solution, it's called a bumper. Be sure to pick one up soon

  • @ittekimasu hey have you checked my link from jon4lakers? he said its an software fault, and he actually doesn't have any problems at all with the reception.

  • @nepul there have been reports that the software update doesn't do anything to improve the reception and instead graphically enhances the signal bars to make them appear larger. I couldn't imagine to begin with how holding a phone could physically alter a software process.

  • @ittekimasu true, iOS 4.1 beta doesn't solve the problem, so you're right. ):

  • Jesus... I wonder what will be done about this. Can you still make calls while the phone is held in your hand?

  • Wow, this is pretty crazy. How was this not caught by Apple QA?

  • @0megaparticle Apple knew about this issue long before the release. That is why they also released the Bumper cases.

  • @0megaparticle it was and that's why they are selling "bumpers." and now because so many people are complaining, they say it's a "software" issue. yeah right.

  • @0megaparticle they did catch it. that's why now they're selling "bumpers." now because so many are complaining, they claim it's a "software" issue. yeah right.

  • @ronjieaquino I'm sure they did eventually catch it, and that is why they are selling bumpers. But it is pretty clear that they didn't catch it early enough to actually change the design so it didn't have the problem. I do not think this problem was intentional, do you?

  • @0megaparticle i don't think the problem is intentional, of course not. the antenna design is a very novel idea. but i think they intentionally released the product anyway even with the existence of that problem, and that's why they intentionally recommended people to donate $30 to get it fixed (via the Bumper cases). oh well.

  • @0megaparticle Because they want the 4G phone out before most companies. Sorry, assembly rush won quality this time.
