  • Yes. CC needs training work, but not for a long time.CC guard his family, home, garden.

...On that he is perfect !

  • My new pup looks like Armani.

  • Great video!!!!!! Are you located in Georgia?

  • awesome

  • Very nice. How long have you been working with dogs? Wish I could start doing this. Very satisfying to see a well disciplined dog.

  • great job nice to see people who are handling this breed with so much discipline.keep up the good work

  • love corso's. I've always had Rottweilers but think I may change to Cane Corsos

  • You have a very nice Corso. His obedience is lovely. Keep it up.

  • @bulldogger71Thanks, this is a an old video. Damian now has his Schutzhund I.

  • right now ishe is 6 months old and I think in her fear stage righ tnow. She bacame timid around men who are making eye contact and trying to touch her, not all of the men tho. Do you think we still have a chance of her to protect me when needed, but not of fear? I am working on her right now, I think there is a hope! lol

  • All puppies go through a few fear stages. The first normally is around 6 months, another will be around 12 months and again at around 15 months. The best you can do for your pup right now is to socialize her by taking her everywhere (petsmart, park, rides in the car, hardware store, plant nursery.

  • great work, hopefully We can get to this level sometime, too:)

  • Thanks for the compliment. We were just starting in this video. It is almost a year old. With training and the right dog, I think tht anything is possible.

  • thank you, thats what we are doing right now, i am not sure if dogs are allowed in hardware stores but i am taking her to a garage :) and to the city, play grounds. She does fine in crowded areas. And couple of days ago she was chasing geese on the lake and she broke the ice and ended up in the water, had to climb on ice, she did it and came back to me not nervous or scared, like nothing happened, was really proud of her!

  • SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Exceptional dog!! Working the Molossers is not for the faint of heart.. nice job with him so far! I'd love to come see him trial when you get ready to do the Sch1.. when/where do you think you'll be trialing?

  • @WorkingBB Thanks. This video is from the 2nd time he ran the blinds. He was still a bit unsure of what was expected of him. I'm not sure when we are going for his Sch I. There are so many pieces that have to be put together....tracking is one and I want to be 100% confident that he will perform at a high level before we trial.

  • @marifroggy I'm picky and so are the people who are helping me to get him trial ready. We will be trialling when the guys that are working with me say that it's time to go to trial. One of the guys that I am working with is a world Schutzhund competitor and he told me you only go to trail to win, not to get a title. I'll send you a message when we are ready for trial. It would be in Georgia or Alabama. I'm not sure of te location yet.

  • Great job Mari.the control is very good and the dog is clean in the blind. He could be a little more intense, but you hae done a great job with him.Keep it up!

  • @staminadaddy24 Thanks, this is an old video of the first few times he ever ran 2 blinds. Some the instensity was lost due to constant repetition and the use of corrections to recall him from the blinds. I like to work for correct performance and then I add the intensity back later.

  • mari, good work on dog your doing great job.

  • @blitzhausk9 Thanks

  • are you planning on training him in protection in the future or just continue the sport training?

  • @justa304 Damian is protection trained, on a hidden sleeve, hidden bite suit and muzzle fighting. We started out with protection training. Sport was an afterthought. I met a trainer that saw him working encouraged me to cross train him in Schutzhund because he has high prey drive and equally balanced fight drive and defense drive.

  • well, can you post a protection video? i believe he has high drives because of his breed, but if he was trained in protection first i think i would've saw some sort of edge in him. he was happy to heel-in when u foosed him back to you. no look back, he just completely took his eye off the threat. that looked like 100% future sport dog. but i say if thats ur goal, then go for it. compete. schutzhund is really nice SPORT, but protection is TOTALLY different.

  • My dog was 3 years old in that video he is now 4 years old. In this video, this is his 2nd time doing this exercise he is much more advance than that. He was looking back anticipating time calling him back to me from the blind. We used compulsion to clean him up so, he was looking back anticipating being corrected and called out of the blind.

  • Cont. He started in personal protection training when he was 1 years old. I don't have any videos of him doing personal protection work. It has been a year since he has done any other protection at work. We are concentrating on obtaining a Schutzhund title right now.

  • Very impressive. I love to see a really slight woman control such a powerful breed; I've always loved Corsos, but I feel they are a bit too much dog for me. I would love to own one in the future when I have some more experience, but I think I'll stick to Shepherds for now.

  • beautiful dog

  • @iamandrewros

    Thanks

  • Very nice control!

  • wow. that's beautiful. perfect discipline. congratulations and good luck with future training.

  • Thanks for the compiment.

  • Absolutely gorgeous and obviously well trained dog! I have been researching the breed for about 8 months now and do you recommend any kennels/breeders inparticular? I would love any info/feedback you could give me. I would like to really get into the training/obedience aspect with this breed as well. Again any info would be appreciated!

  • That for the nice compliments. I'll send you a personal message with some kennel recommendations.

  • Thanks so much...

  • Good work guys! Nice dog.

  • Thanks

  • Wow, great job with this guy... he is very handsome... looks like my Rocco. Im going to show this to my trainer... so he can see that a Corso can do Schutzhund, too!!! lol!!! Great work you guys!!!

  • Thanks for the complement. It's a lot of work but so rewarding.

  • Mari, He looks great! nice control!

  • Thanks Karin we are working on getting him ready. He get's better with each practice.

  • Your Corso looks great.I have a blackbrindle cosrso From Rivales CC. I am so anxious to get my pup just like ur dog.I live in ct and trying to find the right trainer to work with me., but Again, i love to see a woman take charge of a dominant breed and he listens. LOVE THAT...

  • Thanks for the compliments, much appreciated. Well, from what I know about Rivale, you took the right step in getting a Cane Corso that has the right stuff to get the job done.

Best wishes with you new pup.

  • Thank you and best wish on your Boy!
