I HATE Morgana. How could she break something so strong without a second thought? They were her friends once. Now that it is season four and the show is all about the emotional bonds the characters hold, it was a cruel and supercilious act.

I have faith that they are NOT going to go the affair route, and instead will have Gwen choose between the two sometime in the third or fourth series (I'm hoping third series so we can get started on the "fighting for the right to marry Gwen" story line, which I'm pretty sure will have me squeeing like crazy). Plus, you don't set up Arthur and Gwen as star-crossed lovers and have this epic romance where they have to fight numerous obstacles and then... (tbc)
...throw her with Lance at the end. It's not fulfilling and the creators know that. They MIGHT leave hints of what's to come (I hope not), but I think that's as far as it'll go. Gwen isn't going to marry Arthur out of political convenience - she's going to marry him because she loves him. While in most legends she loved him eventually, I don't think it will compare to her feelings for him in Merlin. Unless Arthur does something REALLY awful I see no reason why Gwen would go off with Lance.
