I didn't know you had to shoot the orb thing and so I just spent like 2 1/2 hours shooting him instead... After I found out, it took me only three maybe four minuets to kill him... Wow I'm dumb

This is easily the toughest fight in this game. The later bosses are easy to defeat because of the soul cube. Sarge boss- One soul cube hit and 5 quick rocket hits n hes done. He hadnt even made one shot at me before he was dead.. Cyberdemon - Every soulcube hit at him recharges ur health back to full so its damn easy.. just hit him 4 times n hes done.. But this one fight was hellishly difficult for me.. \

you can kill it in one charged shot from the bfg. once u begin charge the bfg without moving and once the first seeker comes out of the blue stuff shoot the blue stuff . i know cause i did it once and i was so amazed that i had killed it in 3 seconds

same thing happened to me. it was pretty funny. i was nearly dead (12 hitpoints left) when i got to the portal to take me to the guardian. I had picked up a BFG eariler, and took all the supplies in the area. I expected a tough fight where i'd have to run around, but the BFG was powerful enough for me to kill the guardian in one charged up shot. man, i love that gun. it had never failed me before.

Someone said you can kill The Guardian just when you start the fight, firing a fully charged BFG round at its teleport ball. Have you tried it? I tried it on Veteran and it didn't die only becuase of that shot.

That crossed my mind as well but it did not work at all. Actually, I had to use a lot of plasma gun after a 4-charged BFG shot.

There is a special trick to beating the guardian easily. When the battle first starts, bust out the BFG, and when he makes the blue light appear, charge it up to full power and BOOM! He'll be dead in one shot. This takes some seriously dead-on aiming, though, and you may have to retry several times before getting it. But it does actually work!

The artifact in D3 is what is known as the Soul Cube. Which is kind of wierd because it looks nothing like a cube. It contains the souls of many warriors and was used against the forces of hell by a martian warrior a LONG time ago. The remaining martians supposedly escaped to Earth and humans are supposed to be descendants of them.

the bfg can be found in hell. do u spot when u found the bfg cell? the bfg is right next to a boulder. get the bfg cell (the green cell) n walk down to the side of the cliff to get ur bfg. DO NOT USE CHEAT, becos it will ruin the excitement of the game. cheat users are chicky chickens.

Do this to defeat the guardian on nightmare difficulty

1. save up as much chaingun ammo as you can

2. shoot down the seekers as fast as you can

3. pump his 'light' thingy full of chaingun bullets.(I dont recommend rockets because bullets are so much faster. xD

Actually you can kill the seekers 1 bfg shot becuase the radiation stream from the bfg shot kills them, then shoot a fully charged BFG charge at the orb. Doing that two times will kill the guardian of hell.

The seekers gives The Guardian light to see. When you destroy the seekers, The Guardian has to create new seekers. When he create new seekers, above The Guardian is a blue light. Launch 1 rocket at that light and The Guardian becomes weaker and weaker and than it dies. :D

Oh, so it said seekers. I figured the part of destroying those seekers out for myself but you don't even have to destroy them in order to kill the guardian. I don't use rockets, I use the energy gun which you find just before you face the guardian. One shot when he first energizes and he's dead. The seekers never even come into the game. Atleast when you play it at the easiest gamemode....
