It's a shame they weren't into overclocking or they would have known the Celeron 300A can do 450mhz and runs the cache at full speed as opposed to half speed on a Pentium II. That would have been a much better CPU choice for an ultimate gaming rig back then.

Not that im bragging but I have a laptop with 8 gg mem 1T Drive Space i7 720 processorATI radeon 5800 graphics HD Blu-ray RE drive 1080p 18.4" screen this cost me a £1000 and just that monitor costs 5 grand makes you think what theyre gonna do in the future.

Damn, I remember the day when we got our first 400mhz PII with 128mb ram and a fucking 3dfx voodoo banshee.... could play -everything- back in the day with that... was just incredible =D That was (except for the first Athlon 600 I got when it came out) my favourite system ever.

-Yeah, today I still have the ambition to own, one of the possibly fastest systems you can actually build up, but everything kind of lost it myth.

First PC was an 8088. I was depressed years ago that a printer had 120mhz processor built in and seemed overkill. Now we have cell phones 10 times that. Dual core tablets that are mobile platforms.

I remember when we downloaded a 10 megabyte file from a local BBS and it took over 3 days to download. It seemed like lightning.

My computer at work has a basic connection of about 150 KBps and I feel it is slow.
