Great community things like this are dead now because of the rise of the console market and the unmoddability of games that have to cater toward the console platform - ala BF3 - dumbed down console trash.

Atm only really for community games on Sat and Sun at 8PM BST, there's an update in the works though which is going to add hoth and further bot support.

any titan assault gameplay as wel in the mod? say on a frigate or a star destroyer?

There is a map where you are inside the death star as the imps and can use its trench turrets and the rebels have to destroy deflection towers than do the trench run. There are also cap battles with frigates and a map where you have to escort the transports from hoth past a star destroyer but atm you don't actually assault the ships internally.

@toastfaceisking shame, that's actually the best part of battlefront 2 and battlefield 2142 is taking down the systems in a capital ship. Hope they eventually are able to incorporate star destroyer assault in this mod even if it means using a titan interior to make it faster to code. either way it's an exceptional mod i'll give it that.

@matman16 I'd rather play this than any battlefront game tbh, the same with the galactic conquest mod for 1942 which was the precursor to battlefront 1. I still enjoy battlefront but it's a whole different experience.

@toastfaceisking Same here, battlefront is clunky as shit compared to the battlefield engine... and that is saying a whole lot. Battlefront weapons feel terrible. Sniping in Battlefront is a piece of shit.

DICE actually said that they're not letting us mod on release but they MIGHT let us later. They say its too hard but really they don't want us to use their engine yet.

@smithjustinn read between the lines, if there are mods then they will loose alot on dlc because the community makes free mods then. This is the problem now that publishers discoverd the amount of money dlc makes. its not just to cover the expenses now. Its to make just a few extra millions

This, I avidly mod all my games and in fact it is my main motivation for buying a title. I have even bought 2 copies of bf 2142 for this mod alone because I lost my first. I really don't see the value in most DLC and just think that mainly they should have been included in the initial release. I can see justification for expantion packs. I really wish battlefield hadn't turned its back on modders as from 1942 to 2142 I have had bundles of fun with mods, GC, DC, BF Pirates, FS etc
