I think buying gold is great advice, as is storing wealth in silver. As the paper money people are using worldwide is losing its value, precious metals tend to be a relatively safe bet if history is any indication.

I think alot of people get lost when Gerald says gold, in 1933, went from $22 dollars when the banks closed for a 'holiday' and opened the next day with a $35 price per ounce. Remember that people were being forced to turn in their gold by law! And....... gold was pegged to paper!

That's 5oz for grandma, 5oz for little Jimmy, 5oz for uncle Norm, etc... etc.. Unless you have a LOT of gold it doesn't really affect you. And even if it does, you lost the lot in a poker game if anyone asks. ;)
