i never realized how much i loved having an accent till i came here from cali, colombia. The first time i spoke spanish in school, kids looked at me nuts because i didnt speak mexican spanish, i always had kids ask me to speak because they enjoyed listening to the rythm of my accent which is hard not to do seeing as its how i speak. Now that im a grown up, i still get asked to speak in spanish from other latin people just to hear my accent, i love it! its me and i wouldnt change it for another!

Okay, first, the "Colombian" accent has at least 8 different MAJOR dialects, Pacifico, Amazonas, Rolo (Bogotá), Paisa (Cafe region, including Medellín), Costeño (Cartagena, Barrenquilla, etc.), Santander, Pasto, Indigineous and Cali, with several other variations. The Colombian accent is a very generic term, like the "American" accent, which doesn't really exist. Also! Worth note, most television serious on that channel speak neutral, including actors from Venezuela, Argentina, Mexico, etc...
