They are not The Beatles they are a cover band, and a superb one at that, if they don't play it 100% precisely, only 99%, big deal. I think they're amazing.
I'm not a musician, I just enjoy the music. It's great to see these guys show their love and enthusiasm for these great tunes!! Way to go, Uncle Will!!
I'm amused by the comments here. I'm also a musician and--not so unusually--a magician. Given a quality act, it's all about either suspending your disbelief or your musical "knowledge", and enjoying the show. I don't know where the A7#5 ought to be, the difference between the basses---so what? This sounds mighty fine to me, it is live, things happen, but it's still terrific! I say, stop micro-analyzing, debating between an 85 and a half and a ninety, and Let it Be.
I've long been a fan of Will Lee and of Uncle Floyd's brother, but these clips are letdowns. Lee DOES begin the riff outlining an E instead of a D, then plays the open D string (George plays the D on the 5th fret of the A string - you can tell because that string is SHARP throughout the cut - and, yes, George plays bass on the record)...If the Beatles' music is indeed the classical music of our time, these guys aren't taking it as seriously as they claim. Where's the A7#5?
Thanks Serge; if we clam, those songs seem to be the ones that get "magnetically drawn" here! Alternating between axes with such different neck scales as Hofner&Ric, overshooting sometimes happens. As for the #5, 1 of us is singing it, but bending the F near F# - a liberty. As with early Beach Boys, most non-triad tones are in the vox, rather than instruments. Curious, questprobe, where did you find that GH plays bass on "Drive My Car?" What else did they say about Beatles credits?
No problem Frank. Being a musician myself I know how easy it can be to make a mistake. No one can be perfect all the time. Hell if I had a nickle for every time I made a mistake I'd be wealthy. I'm doing my own Beatles show on Sunday. Maybe I'll upload some of the video from that on here to show how easy it is to make a mistake.
Actually, that's the way the intro is supposed to be played. It does have that extra note that Jimmy throws in but most bands don't play it. Take it from me, I play lead guitar in a Beatles band....

To the musical nitpickers: What would you do if I sang out of tune? Would you stand up and walk out on me?
Good band - good cover!

Even the best musicians are allowed to make a mistake once in a while. No one is perfect. Keep that in mind!

the guitar intro, although not extremely nimble-fingered (on this occasion), is right...
Is the bass line in the intro which is...wrong..
Will (Is this his name?) started the bass intro in a wrong position in the fretboard (2 frets ahead if I
am not wrong)

anyway, listening to them in their video they are
good

You just don't get it. It seems like your complaint is against cover bands in general..not this one.
1) They're the best Beatles cover band ever.
2) The Beatles never toured for the White Album, so this is what the tour would've sounded like.

Is the dude playing the red guitar the guy from Conan O'brien's band?
HumGuitar 4 years ago
I absolutely LOVE the Fab Faux..are they going to release an album of Beatles material??

they're a great cover band, i'd buy their album. just because it's not the beatles doesn't mean that they're not good musicians
