@JonTheChron My insurer had a category for alarm, this specific alarm wasn't listed (as expected) so I put in the category "Other". Either way, my insurance (third party only) is around £190 and I've had my license 1 day when I insured the bike. Not sure if the alarm made any difference.
Do you have 2 put the key to the motor cycle in to the egintion after you have remote started the bike with the remote? so you can drive around without the key?
hook the damn thing up chicken shit. its got a neutral safety switch so you over worrying about someone touching your bike is a waste. it wont start unless its in neutral
Did you ever hook up your remote start? I have the same alarm on my 06 ZXR and I havent hooked it up since Im not sure if I need to by pass any sensors
@duranv1 nope, never hooked it up - too afraid if I leave the bike in gear, or someone puts the bike in gear while I'm away, pressing the wrong button on the remote could turn very messy - just not worth it in my opinion.
@rgaufman Well, the stock kawasaki's do not start in gear. I've tried this and even proved a mechanic wrong. The only way they start in gear (with the kickstand down) is if you hold the clutch. I think it only does this in 1st, it wont even turn over in 2nd...clutch or not. Ive been talking to another kawi owner and he said he didnt bypass anything. Just hook it up and youre good he said. We'll see
@duranv1 actually this is true, the bike does not start in gear unless the kickstand is up and the clutch is pulled in. Thing is though, the way I have it set up I can turn the ignition on with my alarm pager and I can then press the starter button - I hear the sound like the engine "wants" to stat, but it won't - I need to bypass the kawasaki safe guards to make it start, but then it might start in gear?
@spayn The siren goes off when someone stands near the bike, not just if someone sits on it :) - if someone sits on it the shock sensor is likely to be triggered. I have to be careful when I put my helmet on the bike before I turn the alarm off the siren can go off.
1) Park, the bike and pager make sound to remind you to arm the alarm. If you don't arm the alarm, it will stay off. If you arm the alarm, it gets a bit complicated.
2) If your alarm is armed and you want to disarm it, pressing the disarm key only disarms it for 30 seconds or so. This is to prevent you pressing the disarm button in your pocket by accident. To disarm, you need to press the disarm button and put key in the ignition within 30 secs
When you spoke about the alarms sensitivity, it goes between settings 1 to 5. According to you most sensitive setting is 5; but I think it's on setting 1. Do you mind double checking yours to confirm my speculations? Cheers!
I saw that you can start the pige with the remote controller. My question is that that you can do it without the keys? Becasue I don't want it. Or you can do it when wheel lock is on?
@gyurxi551 personally I didn't set up the "remote start" feature - when I press that button the ignotion turns on, and if I try to start the bike with the starter, it won't start until I put the key in. I thought "remote start" is not a good idea in case you leave the bike in gear by accident.
If you do want remote start, it starts the bike without the key but kills the engine after 10 minutes so you can't really ride very far without the key.
thanks for reply, I think 10minutes is good enough to drive away and I won't see my bike in rest of my life. :S
If I buy this I neither will set up the remote start function. After reading forums I found an another alarm (Gemini) that is more expensive but seems very very good. :)
And I saw in another video that when alarm incoming he got a sms. Is it possible?
It is possible, but then you need a mobile phone contract and a sim card on the bike and I assume this would be very power hungry. This alarm already drains the bike battery in just over a week or so.
I had to do a rolling start the other day after not riding due to snow :(
@rgaufman I have had remote start on my GS500 for a few months, it started without the key. I had the Spy motor alarm the retro one. You do realize the igntion is just a switch? On my GS500 it only switched 2 seperate circuits. One for engine operation, one for lights. I first did only the engine one, but it wouldn't let me use my lights, only if I used key for ignition on.
Next is my newly purchased ER6N. Thx for this video, I'm install this alarm including remote start and engine shutdown.
does your insurer recognize this alarm? i know they only selling for about 25 pounds but is it legit?

Does the siren works when someone sit on bike or coz of microwave sensor?

hey at 3:22 I kindof lost you. It automatically arms itself?
ruckuschannel 11 months ago
@ruckuschannel Yes, it does. It works like this:
1) Park, the bike and pager make sound to remind you to arm the alarm. If you don't arm the alarm, it will stay off. If you arm the alarm, it gets a bit complicated.
2) If your alarm is armed and you want to disarm it, pressing the disarm key only disarms it for 30 seconds or so. This is to prevent you pressing the disarm button in your pocket by accident. To disarm, you need to press the disarm button and put key in the ignition within 30 secs

swat2691 1 year ago
@swat2691 updated description with a few places you can pick it up, also ebay search for motorcycle pager alarm may just be your best bet.
The alarm comes with a wiring diagram, I had my business partner who's an electrician help me install it, it didn't seem too hard.
