easiest way to do it is start mower turn off fuel switch and wait till dry then drain tank or if no switch crimp line with mole grips not too tight though
i say theres three ways to do this. One (which is probably the easiest) is do what was done in the video. Two, is take off the gas cap, tip the mower over and dump out the gas, and then run the mower to get the gas out of the carb, and three, take off the fuel line from the gas tank, and again, run the mower to get the gas out of the carb.
Wow, thanks! :). I have a question about that though. Which one will waste less fuel? just tipping the lawn mower over (but I'm worried that something will happen with the oil or something and screw something up) OR taking the gas line (which you'll spill a bit of fuel but not screw anything up)?
I always just take off the fuel line, which only wastes a bit of fuel, it doesnt come out THAT fast! :P
And tipping it over will not screw anything up, just have to let it sit for a bit before starting it, and if your winterizing it, then its no problem then.
Letting it run is just a waste of gas. Just slip the gas line off and drain it into a gas can or pop bottle or something. And drain the carb too otherwise the gas will just get all sticky and turn into varnish and fuck the carb right up.
AMEN TO THAT!!! Don't run equipment dry, Use Stabil fuel treatment if you have to winterize. I Rarely winterize my equipment, I run them all year around.
did this fool just tell me to left my lawn mower run until the gas is gone???

hardly safe to run your mower till it's out of fuel inside a building, you are more likely to die of carbon monoxide poisoning

the best way to remove the fuel is to light it on fire
