I wish someone would post the old blue and purple feature presentation trailer. It was the one that said "You are about to experience a movie the way it was meant to be seen, and heard. And now our feature presentation". The used a modified version of it to promo the movie "Young Einstein".
I remember seeing also saw seen "The Cat in the Hat" "Shrek 2", "Shark Tale", "Madagascar", "Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit", "Curious George", "Ice Age 2", "Over the Hedge", "Flushed Away", "Happy Feet", "Shrek the Third" and "Bee Movie"
Well, Eddsworld (Also known as Edd Gould in the real world) is a British cartoon maker who's popular all over Great Britain, and his popularity is spreading to Youtube and the World. He was featured on BBC News, and the tv/e Climate Change website. He has a comic book out called "Toaster Brains", he's almost popular the world over. He was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Despite his crappy health, he still makes animations. But anyway, hope that got through to ya!
WAAAAAAAAY better than that crappy new one!!!! I don't really want to see a blonde drinking soda take up the whole screen!!!! Also they only got transported to ONE universe. Not a bunch of different ones to show the diversity. Ugh
The only I ever saw this trailer was when I went to see Spy Kids 3D: Game Over. (I think). But then I saw the Jungle Cinema one when I went to see The Karate Kid.
@abehammy - I'd rather use our Marcus Theaters. They look so much nicer, are larger in size, and they don't have an ugly trailer like AMC's newest one. But the amc is closer, so we use it anyways.
the last time i remember seeing this was right before Star Trek (2009), at the AMC in Crestwood plaza, (which is in Crestwood, MO i think). the next movie i saw at an AMC was that new crappy trailer
It's so funny that when this came out, people were complaining about it not being as good as the older Clip trailers, or those whose old theater got bought out by AMC. Now we got this even worse yuppie trailer that poorly announces the feature presentation with those three adolescent dicks. My advice: don't take policy trailers for granted. A few years from now AMC will have a new trailer and you're gonna beg to bring "Magic Chairs" back.
You will most likely not see Mr Clip appear again in any AMC "Preview" or "Feature Presentation" trailers. Mr Clip has made his way to the mascott retirement home.
come to my channel i go on a quest to see movies! its fun to watch u see wat i go through just to watch movies lol come to my channel now! an subscribe! :D
I remember that bumper. This was right before "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men's Chest" starts. Also right before it started "Resident Evil", "Blade 2" and others. It was shown in Film-O-Vision.
I remember this. Now they have that god awful coke trailer before each movie, b/c AMC has to remind you that coke is available at the concession stand. Shameless product placement.
YES! This needs to come back! I would smile everytime the "clip" shook, and now I just get angry at the arrogant guy drinking the Coke. Nobody sips through a straw like that!
can someone tell amc to put this trailer back on instead of that new bullshit they have with the two girls i cant get none from cause i love white women. lol
This is my ALL-Time Feature Presentation Trailer featuring "Clip." From start to finish, the trailer gives you the actual feel of being in the theater. It gets you pumped up for the movie. Thanks for posting, Reed488.
I like the "clip" intros as well. But there was an older one before this ('98 or so). Clip was reading notes off of a music book. Then one note squeaked, dangled and feel off the page followed by the rest. Clip blew all of them in the air to make the feature presentation. That's my favorite!
@CHS9 i agree. The grey and white ones are like the Loews/Sony theaters ones. ATM tickets are blue and white still. The old amc in rockaway had those.
ok i am so glad ther are others out there that hate that new fucking clip from amc. i please wish they would go back to the other one we love and enjoy.
I work at an AMC and I personally HATE the new trailer with the 2 girls and one guy sipping their Coke while being taken away to some alternate universe. Clip was so much more of a classic. Now I feel like I'm watching a bad horror remake in a company trailer. I, however, can say that not all the auditoriums changed the trailer. The digital theater still has the Clip version.
@eminemfan3d93 i am with you on that . i am a very big fan of amc theaters and i hate that clip. i do think there going back to the old one. please get back me with your comment. my name is john
@eminemfan3d93 Me personally i think the new trailer is too fucking loud, at least the old one was quick and short and not rumbling the whole fucking theater.
@eminemfan3d93 i used to work at AMC when they had this one. once i heard the music it was time to close the door. PS. i hate pop corn now (as im sure u do to for obvious reasons)
@eminemfan3d93 Completely agreed on that. I've never cared for the current feature presentation trailer(with the 2 girls and 1 guy being suddenly transported to a different universe), either. This one is much better, than their current one.
Oh yea also I noticed in addition to clip not appearing, also is amc's "Experience The Difference" slogan. Then again I hear they are bannin outside food like the other theatres. Now really much difference with amc anymore, a shame.
@EddieJ1984 Which is a good thing for AMC in order to make a profit, which its doing by putting in fake imax theaters and expensive digital 3d projection systems to lure people back from their hdtv homes and hispeed internet.
Interestingly enough I left amc a few weeks later after I said they changed the trailer (No that isnt the reason I left lol) and I worked at it from 03-june 09, so ths trailer will always mean to me when I worked at amc, a shame that people goin to amc now wont hear the cool ,usic from this and the old coming soon one. Also I myself haven't seen a movie at AMC since I left (6 years, I need a nice break from amc in general).
No offense to anybody, but this is the current policy trailer from 2003 - present. If it is different at your theaters that is your problem. AT our theater they use this one and the other same-design ones.
2003-2009, actually. because if you go to AMC, there's a current one where it didn't feature our mascot, Clip. There's just two girls and a guy seating in their seats into somewhat of an actual universe.
I saw that new, "Clip"-less trailer at an AMC a couple of weeks ago for the first time and absolutely hated it. The trailer, if you can even call it that, had no character, no energy, and did not even announce that the feature presentation was coming up next. Also, for some reason, the trailer seemed dated; it seemed like a somewhat-cutting-edge trailer from the late 1980s or early 1990s.
yes i agree. first time i saw it was back in June and throughout. that was around the time when i was going to the Empire 25, which is in Times Square, 'cause i usually go there a lot. June 5, to be exact, i was seeing 2 movies in one day, Land of the Lost and The Hangover. that was the first time i saw the so called "Clip"-less trailer, whatever you call it.
I work at AMC Katy Mills 20 in Katy, Texas, and it took us a while to get the new trailer, but now that we have it, I have to admit, I miss this one. The new AMC trailer is completely devoid of personality because it's the first time since like, 1991 that Clip hasn't appeared in one of our policy trailers.
AMC is quickly going the way of Regal, losing the cool policy trailers and opting for faster, more generic trailers.
It is sad, indeed. Though I have only gone to an AMC Theater a couple of times since about 2000, I saw the new trailer online. It makes me sick, because it has none of the magic of the 1990s "Clip" trailers which I remember from my childhood.
I just saw a different snipe on "The Proposal." Kinda weird, it had people sitting down in what looked like a field or forest or something and looking up to see "AMC" written in the clouds or something like that.
I just saw that yesterday when I saw the half blood prince,it sucks,u know how the guy in this vid is kinda like their mascot and hes on ur movie tickets,I wonder what their gonna do with him
I saw the new Feature Presentation snipe for the first time when I saw Star Trek and I saw it again before The Hangover started yesterday. Hey Reed488, do you have the new Feature Presentation snipe with four people sitting in the forest and signal says AMC along with the new Coming Soon opening?
Well after over 6 years, AMC now has a new feature presentation trailer (which is completely different than this) I will miss this trailer. 2003 - 2009
At the theatre I work at (24plex) we are phasing the old one out by leaving it on any movies before the hangover, all the new movies now (Like peham 123, imagine that) will use the new feat pres and coming soon snipes from now on.
Yeah, I was just being sarcastic on how AMC bought General Cinema and a childhood memory of mine, Lowes Theaters. I was also joking about how AMC has that annoying "Firstlook" pre-show and how National Amusements (another childhood memory) didn't. Until we moved, our local cinema is a Regal, another bad chain if you will.
Yes Man is the last movie I saw with the AMC FPT 2003.
bradpearson, I'm also starting to spend more time with AMC since they open up a 16-plex near the Dallas Galleria back in 2004. The rest of the AMC's are 24-30 plexes and they suck. These horrible-looking Torus screens with fake Digital Sound will not work for me.
Same goes for Cinemark with it's "Super-Duper Mega Digital Sound" whatever they say on their sound racks as I sneak up their projection booths from the top part of the stadium seating. They don't sound "Super Mega" at all, then they back it up with high-pitched Ultra Stereo analog with no bass managements whatsoever. Late 90s plexes are awful.
I remembered watching this back in 04-08, and then I went to Century/CineMark. =/

They don't sound "Super Mega" at all, then they back it up with high-pitched Ultra Stereo analog with no bass managements whatsoever. Late 90s plexes are awful.
