I would like to help, I live in the UK. I would like to help and erradicate discrimination towards the Roma especially, and other fine and beautiful peoples like the Roma. I find it DISTRESSING that in 'this day and age' such discrimination is still happening. I thought we were supposed to be a civilized society which embraced and we LOVE our diversity. I will protect and stand by the Roma people.
The trouble is we can never really trust anyone to help. Let me explain: here in Australia, most white Australians would swear they're not racist, and if ever on a podium, they will rave and rant against racism. But off the podium, they're as racist as hell. My brother just found that out---YET AGAIN! He spent two years in a job without taking a single day off, for ANY reason. That's an undeniable fact. In the end they cobbled together some reason to fire him--he's had one Court win so far.
I understand your apprehension and distrust. I am sorry to hear about what is happening to your brother. If that happened in this country, there would be the Unions, and other anti racist, anti discriminatory organisations who would support him, not only that, his work colleagues should have stood by him! My partner and I are involved in political activism and campaigns, and I know what you mean, it is the driving force of just a couple of people who do the hard work and keep at it.
And I suggest young man, Mr Retaliator ,whilst you still have the opportunity to stand out from the moronic herd and possibly receive a ray of enlightenment..(I really have no desire to engage in futile slanderous dialogue with you) However, why don't you get a copy of the book 'Non Violent communication' by Marshall B. Rosenberg. You may find it helpful and who knows..maybe life changing in some way..one would hope.
I, for one, hope I will some day move away and never come back! I don't care where, as long as I won't hear any foreigner say "Romanians are gypsies" as they all do.

I come from Slovakia, country with 5mil inhabitants which include half of milion roma people. I meet them everyday day on the street. They are a big problem for our society, they refuse to work, they live of a welfare system even though tipical gipsy familly has about 6-10 children, believe me that I have nothing against them becasue of the colour of their skin, but if you say that there is nothing wrong with that community, you are faaaaaar away from the truth

I would like to help, I live in the UK. I would like to help and erradicate discrimination towards the Roma especially, and other fine and beautiful peoples like the Roma. I find it DISTRESSING that in 'this day and age' such discrimination is still happening. I thought we were supposed to be a civilized society which embraced and we LOVE our diversity. The trouble is we can never really trust anyone to help. Let me explain: here in Australia, most white Australians would swear they're not racist, and if ever on a podium, they will rave and rant against racism. But off the podium, they're as racist as hell. My brother just found that out---YET AGAIN! He spent two years in a job without taking a single day off, for ANY reason. That's an undeniable fact. In the end they cobbled together some reason to fire him--he's had one Court win so far.

If that happened in this country, there would be the Unions, and other anti racist, anti discriminatory organisations who would support him, not only that, his work colleagues should have stood by him! I know it's a very good way to end racism, and to communicate with people of different race would be one big step towards world peace... people with different races, religions, cultures, traditions. For me it has always been a great example to how humanity's violence must end.
