me...i'm white, but no offence to anyone. black people make the best music, are more beautiful, better athletes...so isn't it high time to forget the damned racial segregation!!!
we are all, everyone of us, good or bad, Jah's children!!
@helithemaddog Black people are still going thru a healing process, not just from slavery and segregation but also from the negative stereotypes (which still continue). Songs like this seek to help black people counter those negative stereotypes and feel proud to embrace their culture and history (school history books don't teach much about African history).
@ericjungleboy hello Eric! thank you for explaining me better of what i tried to express in my comment. i live in an north european country where peiple get a high quality basic education. and so i've learned a lot of other countries and continents aswell as their history. but as i told told i'm white so i can't have any own experiences of what it is to be born black. so thank you! and i still stand behind my words of what i think of "black" ( brown in my eyes) people.Blessings!
selwin you are so sweet _ god is in you - we all (my friends and the city and me) love you - What would be the Steel without chewing gum and barry whites ??? :))) we will always remember you - Grenoble 1986
Saw them last night @ The Variety Playhouse in Atlanta.......D.Hinds vocals haven't changed at all, band was super-tight, excellent venue...........AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
Loved this period of STEEL PULSE, Conrad and Alvin truly added a special ingredient to this legendary performance! See them LIVE you will LOVE THEM! Thanks for posting!
Y'all ready? July 1st '10 in tha Dirty South,ATL, Variety Playhouse. We're gonna rally round, chant a few Psalms, sit on a throne gold, and stepping out. So ready for STEEL PULSE!!!!!!!!!!!
If you ever get the opportunity to see Steel Pulse live, do it. This band stirs your soul with the driving reggae beat and vocal timing. "Rally" makes your body rock, don't ya know.
@TheFeralCelt Shut your ass up! Why do non blacks always have something to say when black folks assert themselves? We don't come on your damn post and say shit. You need to shut up!
@TheFeralCelt What hate? Boosting up African pride does not equal hating anyone else. They're talking about real injustices, about slavery. You think that's fiction?.
Cheeeee I love steel pulse!
