LOL. Valgaav was stronger then Xellos. but his dragon power was fighting demon power given him by gaav. when he sec fight with Xellos he was weak and tired ;P whatever Xellos was pwned by him :D
I makes some calculations and i think Xellos mazoku power is about 1 unit Gaav 5 units and Phibrizzo 15. Any of the seven parts of Ruby Eye are about 25. In the 3th serie power of Valgaav was same as Xellos posses.
Xellos is Mazoku = Lina and CO. enemy but look at all the series mean (next and try not this new shit that they made) He always have the same destinationa as Lina and CO. thats why they don't fight each other. Xellos never had free hand to decide about himself he only obey Zelas Metallium orders so if Zelas decide to kill Lina Xellos will do it. He was always loyal to Phibrizzo look at the scene where Gaav is beating Xellos and take focus on Phibrizzo face he looks like he was going to cry.
it doesn't surprise me much cuz after all xeloss IS the most powerful mazoku created by shabranigdo (except for the 5 demon lords) ...btw he is so KAWAII here and after 1000 years! have you noticed his face? it looks like a KAWAIII litlle kids'!!

@Sharavis If I recall right from the novels, humans were around back then too.
The forces of good were made up of elves, humans and dragons from what I can recall being told in the novels.
