Phyrrhic is when you win a battle at such a high cost that it is irreplaceable, if not negating their victory to an eventual defeat. US Civil War the Union suffered much higher casualties than the CSA, but the victories were not considered phyrric as they had so much men compare to their losses, it is nothing compared to what the CSA had lost in relation to their own military.

I always get the funniest and stupid impression that alot of people always say that the ISA are the bad guys while the Helghast are the victim. If that is really the case then they are actually no then the ISA. In my opinion, there is no good and bad in war, it's all about what viewpoint you see it from. Killzone is alot like WWII but futuristic.

@th3d3storoy3r Not necessarily true. Heavy casualties don't always mean phyrrhic. Phyrrhic is when you win a battle at such a high cost that it is irreplaceable, if not negating their victory to an eventual defeat. US Civil War the Union suffered much higher casualties than the CSA, but the victories were not considered phyrric as they had so much men compare to their losses, it is nothing compared to what the CSA had lost in relation to their own military.

@Gggmanlives He was expendable. Since the Visari talking was a double, and the real won was sent into space with that shuttle, you see it come crashing down at the ending of the game.

Alot of killzones fan always say the Helghast are heroes, oh really?
I always get the funniest and stupid impression that alot of people always say that the ISA are the bad guys while the Helghast are the victim. If that is really the case then they are actually no then the ISA. In my opinion, there is no good and bad in war, it's all about what viewpoint you see it from. Killzone is alot like WWII but futuristic.

@trainhoboVEGAS : If you think that WWII doesn't have a clear picture about good or bad, just the view point of it, then you are wrong. It's quit clear that the Axis Powers were, and are still, considered the "bad guys"; both in their ideals, and their actions.

@trainhoboVEGAS : The First War was caused by the increasing domination that Helghan was exerting over space travel and trade; particularly the tariffs/taxes. The Heghast didn't like the UCN/ISA embargoes, so they fought and were exiled. The Second War was from fascist propaganda for revenge, and the totalitarian government (oppressive) of the Helghan Empire.
Did the UCN/ISA deal with the wars properly? No, but no country ever does. Does that mean fascism is justifiable? No, WWII proved that.

@Kaesoism I'm not considering neither of them are good or bad guys, but it sorta bugs me that people keep declaring Helghan are heroes? Really? Such as shooting their own people just for being pro-human ? As for the ISA, they do have every right to fend for themselves. What you said back in your other comment? Militarily yes, Axis factions are the bad guys in every way, my question is that are the Helghast fighting for what they believe in, or are they just a tools of destruction.

That is exactly how I feel. I don't understand how anyone thinks they are good. However, to your lat statement about fighting for what they believe in, I have to think that many of the populace don't completely support their government; though, they obviously can't express themselves, else they get silenced. That being said, it's sad that those innocents end up being victims of the ISA as well.
