Im pissed, this is going to kill the movie just like Batman, how they replaced they young hot chick from the 1st one and got an ugly old lady in the 2nd one.  Dude and Iron Man is like my favorite Superhero.

I could not agree with you more. But unfortunately as we all know by now its NOT a rumor, so I guess we all just have to see where it goes from here. Besides IM2 trailer looks AWESOME !!!! But I gotta say, I hate it when they replace someone in a movie you've already gotten use to seeing and I would of preferred seeing Howard back in his role as Rhodes/War Machine but it is what it is at the end of the day so what can you do.

True. I've long since come to grips with this. I usually don't like it when actors are replaced. But Favreau seems to be going for established/respected actors with the Iron Man films. And it's no secret that Don is a really good actor. A big physical contrast from Howard, but a fantastic actor. But as a fan of the comics, my ideal choice from the beginning would've been Michael Jai White. That's my fan pick for Rhodey, haha.

Its going to be a good movie. I can tell its gonna have loads more action, something the first movie lacked. I hope it can keep a good plotline, but seeing Samuel L Jackson is in it, its looking to be a great successor to the first. Lets hope the new actor is good.

i hate it when they replace the actors in sequals, and it always happens in the good movies too!! they should just stick with the same people. I like Don Cheadle but Terrence already displayed Rhodes personality in part 1 now its gonna be different!

Oooh, bad move Marvel. I also heard Marvel initialy didn't want to pay Favreau his Fee for Iron Man 2, FAVREAU!!! the guy who made them 600 million dollars world wide! I like Don Cheadle but you don't recast a major roll in your multi-million dollar, "license to print money," franchise to save a few bucks. Over the years artists and writers have been angry with Marvel about not being payed what their worth and I think Marvel is taking this same stingy attitude to their movie studio.

Yeah... Don is a really good actor. Great in everything he's in, in fact. I guess an upside is that it's a really good actor replacing another good actor. At one point I was worried about envisioning him physically as Rhodey, especially if he becomes War Machine. But at the very least, we can count on Don to give a good performance. Now that it's sunk in, I'm a bit more alright with it.
