the reconstruction on his nose is the classic 'waltzing tube pedicule' , used a lot in WW1 facial reconstructions. basically, they take tissue from the forehead, wrap it into a tube and swing it down to where his nose will finally be. they take cartlidge from the rib cage and put it inside the tube. they can actually end up with a acceptable reconstruction, but it takes a few operations. as for his lower jaw and rest of his face, well pretty bad. he retained eyesight though. :-(
