There are only some minutes in a show. It's really hard to discuss a lot of films during a taping. Leaving Las Vegas is obvious for a show in a bar. Hence, why it wasn't discussed.
haha. you know about the ending for bad santa, roger ebert said that it's a happy ending in the way that it's a train wreck where a few cars don't derail.
I know it's kind of an obvious booze film but you guys never made it to leaving las vegas. huh
Even though I'm not a regular drinker, like Jeff i'm casual. (I only drink when im at weddings or other certain events.) I still enjoyed this episode. I've never seen any of these films, so it was cool listening to the discussion.
Jeff nearly losing his voice defending Cocktail was hilarious.
The location was nice, good lighting but sometimes I had trouble hearing Eric when he was talking, other than that it was a good episode. Thanks guys!
I like the location shooting but the sound suffers for it. Be mindful that your little background comments are sometimes drowning out what someone else is saying. Should have covered more drunk movies, but on the whole a good show.
Not my favorite episode because I've only seen one or two of these movies (yes, Bad Santa was great!!!). I'd dedicate this episode to my former roommate in college ("nameless"), the greatest drunk of all time. I'm surprised they didn't go to "Leaving Las Vegas".
I didn't see Cocktail because, as Edwin says, Fuck Tom Cruise!!!
YES! I'm loving all the episodes, guys! That's something--during what seemed like a hiatus, you guys were really hard at work on the show! Thanks again!
Cocktail was Flashdance for bartenders.

Read Michel J York review of SILENT RUNNING and do a show on cult films like that one.
THANK YOU!

TRIVIA. AL PACINO said that when he was a kid he used to act out scenes from THE LOST WEEKEND for family and friends.
the dream sequence in the film SPELLBOUND was made by SALVADOR DALI.

Far From Over was Frank Stallone's song! BTW, have you seen Crazy Love (by DeRuddere) which was also based on Bukowski's work? Good movie.
And Cocktail? Completely unmemorable. No need to ever seeing one miunte of iut again. And where was Leaving La Vegas (that I never saw)?

Another episode of "Jeers." Sometimes you want to go where everyone knows the gaffer's name.
Death Wish III is the best worst movie of all time!
And get that bartender a larger shirt.
