Very impressive actually. Crisp and very sharp, although I would have preferred some depth of field. I know it's going to show everything in focus because the sensor is small, but this is actual a very very impressive camera
As if the PS3 only cost 199 when it first came out. Looks like Nikon went the Apple route and wanted quality and portability out of this 1-series. I'm down to buy as I didn't want a P&S nor a DSLR that I can barely afford their lenses xD
looks really good actually, the pdaf during video opens up new applications for action video. and the insanely fast read out from the sensor means less rolling shutter (something you should test). anyways, now manual video controls and gimped video codec will restrict the market.. its too bad, the 1 inch sensor size is a great compromise for video use
Would you mind sharing the work flow please. I am new to Mac and love this camera. Did you simply import and have the Mac convert it to their AIC format?
@sirtechy Well, possibly. 16MP, larger sensor so probably better with IQ overall with a good lens BUT not as good in AF speed, metering, color out of camera, and simplicity.
this is a great camera

Since you have contact with Sony! Have they corrected the anti-glare screen from coming off at the edges?

Even less so when you consider the PRICE. Sorry Nikon you've dropped a BRICK - the new V1 & J1 just don't cut it.
Their called the 1 series because there will only ever be 1 series of them.
Nikon will move on end 2012 to something better - you just watch!

@keithlhiker Just imported into iMovie direct from the SD card, edit then export to a 1080 HD movie. Then upload to youtube.
