So it's not just choosing your preference between two equally respectable eras of music (IMO).

The first time I heard this song was in high school in the 80's...At that point, I had no idea who Phil Collins was. I was completely blown away. The performance is outstanding, and the beat is contagious!

@KroellAlfa : hey, I am 51! And this music belongs to my youth, my past, my present - and will be with me, when I die sometimes in the future.... Musicians like this are "masters of the time" like Beethoven, Mozart, Berlioz, Wagner, Holst and many others. I appreciate your statement, which keep me to be sure, that there are some young people who keep their sensual feeling alive, staying in their natural feeling of recognizing good feelings.

This is my favorite Genesis song! It will always remind of someone who I was once with and unfortunately won't ever see again. He passed away on Friday. I dedicate it to him. I hope he can hear it in Heaven and knows how much he was loved.

Incredible! I don't believe my ears! When I was young, I hated Genesis music after Duke album. Now, after many years, when I hear these songs of Collins era, I understand the unique beauty of this legendary band! The worst Genesis songs are more beautiful than today's music!

I love this song! Always gives me chill bumps when I hear it! I had forgotten about it until I heard it on a Magnum PI episode. You could hear Phil Collins unique voice in the background. Brought back so many memories.
