I did this a few times when I had my First standard car. I would try to shift fast for no reason other than thats what I always saw others do. (fast and furious etc. as those were the only places I saw manual driving. No one in my family had a manual vehicle that I rode around with.) That was the first week of learning how to drive a manual. After i learned that shifting that fast wasn't necessary I gained more knowledge, and now I can shift fast as I please.
