Mind Blowing, thanks so much Kevin Keith for the many years taken to master this difficult instrument. Not a Robot, just in another world, performing.
Its standard Stanley Jordan piano on a fretboard 2 hand stuff now, and Chapman stix were invented when 30 years ago? I guess its part of the current "zither envy" that has brought us "tap only" 10-12 string shred with a bent pinch harmonic every other measure, yawn....He is a good player, but the whole no gain zombie faced jazzzz thing leaves me cold
I'm normally a pretty heavy rocker, but I love this!!! I can feel his emotion in his playing, and being a guitarist who has been having difficulty finding a band, I'm really impressed with the stick, and the ability to basically play guitar and bass at once. Very unique, very very very talented artist!
@rspelzk Michael Tsarion is the worlds premier conspiracy researcher/lecturer/author. Dr. Bill DEagle, Jordan Maxwell, Leo Zagami and Alexandre Dumas pere are highly informative as well. p.s. Melting Euphoria is similar to Ozric Tentacles and Gong.
This motivates me to practise more an not to be content with simple accompaniments. I love whatever it is your left hand is doing on the Stick. It's magical!
Dude...I purchased the song "Overjoyed" by your band on Itunes. I'm amazed to say the least! I just want to chill and watch a sunset listening to it man! Great work!
I'm researching to determine how to order my Chapman stick and really like what you're doing here. Nice groove bassline. I'd like to get a thicker bass tone, but that's probably unlikely due to the lack of thickness of the strings. I'd also like to separate the global effects from the bass registers, but don't see how that's possible either. I'd want to go fretless for the bass. I love the guitar sounds with effects you get out of the Chapman stick. Great instrument to practice and experiment.
That's the most musical thing I've seen someone do on a Chapman stick. I'd thought they were instruments for rich, curious people, but you're a true musician.
this guy is a god. He is amazing. can anyone give me some good jazz guitatists to listen to. I want to start learning some jazz. If you could give me some well known jazz guitarists that would be excelent
Hi Kevin, that's really nice tune and an high demostration of technique and of course a manifestation of groove and melody... Anyway, I'm surprised the skill to handle your hands, just like the piano and in fact I tried to learn some licks of Wooten played in tapping, but it is difficult to play with two hands... do u have any tips for this?
Sup man. i run a home studio for bands and hiphop artists who simply cant afford to go to studios and i provide that for them. ive shown this to a bunch of musicians who come to the studio and record and they just go "whoa... rewind that! i gotta see that again!" ive seen some pretty gnarly bass guitars. alot of people have never seen anything like this.. i give it up man. keep doin' your thing.
