@sellepsychofanatic Modded boss metal zone is better than boss metal zone. the metal muff is a different pedal. If you want close to metal core sound look into getting a modded metal zone. Google robert keeley or monte allums. There are others too. But this is a good option as with a regular metal zone.

Yeah, I have the MT-2 and have tried the metal muff. If anything, the metal muff is the MT-2 plus so much more. Lots more tonal variation and a far superior distortion.

My ONLY grievance with the Metal Muff is that it friggin' DEVOURS batteries and it doesn't quite sound right if the battery isn't practically fresh out of the package. Of course that can be rectified by buying the 9.6V adapter, which I highly recommend doing if you invest in one of these.

very true. When i first got this pedal i ran it through a fender pro jr and within 5 minutes i was ready to sell the pedal.

BUT then i decided to turn the amp's treble all the way down, eliminating that bright fender sparkle. Suddenly when i turned on the MM it was like I was playing through a mesa, it was insane. Another thing is if your running a MM through a tube amp for whatever reason it is a must that you have the volume on the pedal set to at least 1/2 way, or it will sound like SHIT.
