Playing this always gave me chills on the field. I remember that one rehearsal - Doc Casavant was NOT pleased with the sound. We spent the entire rehearsal just on musicality, sound control and dynamics. My lips were pretty raw after that rehearsal and I had to play at a departmental the following day. I iced my lips that night, also tons of lip balm. My roommate thought I was nuts, but he didn't understand the pressure of playing at a departmental when all your peers are checking you out.

would have liked more of a crescendo, starting quiet, but if your gonna do 2 minutes of this, those are the 2 minutes to do
