I already know about the Last Episode in Fate Stay Night's Realta Nua, but I still find the whole thing sad because Shirou and Saber didn't end up together as normal humans... Oh well better than not being together at all even after death...

I have(just the Fate Path) and I like this version better. I like to pretend that sex scenes don't exist. It kinda spoils the story a little, especially what Sakura had to go through *shudder*

With respect to the Fate and UBW routes, I didn't mind the sex scenes so much. To an extent, they added a bit of real depth and adult-level prowess that has you taking it more seriously than you would the anime, which didn't have any of that.

As for HF though... well, given that it was my least favorite of the three by far; but the excessive sexual content there didn't do anything to help it.

Everytime the anime showed how impossible is it for Shirou and Saber to be together in this lifetime, it plays this song... And it really showed all the longing emotions... :(

Hope Saber and Shirou found eternal happiness in Avalon... Even if they're just fictional characters... Saber truly deserves happiness in my opinion, in fact every selfless and innocent girl does...

@NextGenAsh Oh? F/SN most definitely has a VN. Haven't you seen the movie either (regardless of how terrible it was)? The anime and the movie, Unlimited Blade Works, are the first two paths of the Visual Novel. They had minimal sex involved, and it could easily be taken out while the feeling of the story stayed the same. The third and last path will most likely never appear as an anime or movie.

I think Saber ain't using Excalibur in the anime, her powers aren't strong enough (Remember in the anime whenShirou traced Excalibur against Berserker so they could defeat him in one blow.

I think Excalibur is forever lost and Saber uses its power (Also known as EKESUUUU~~~~CALIBAAAAAAAAAAAAA xD) only because she's a heroic spirit and people associate excalibur to Arthur so ofc she'll have Excalibur's powers if history made us remember that sword ^^

@XxXMagistraXxX well i you said you think. you might be right but there always the possibility of the opposite i think she is alive from what i saw at the end but she is tired from all those fights, i think also she is strong because in the fight with the berserker she puted up a fight but when emiya made the exact copy of the excalibur he was flying from the attacks from berserker unlike saber. no offence dude this is what i understand from what i saw

It was damned good! Lancer had more lines in the visual novel by the end which made him even more badass. It was explained that Lancer was in love with Rin in the Novel, imo they should've mentioned it in the movie too :P

@ARNAKLDO You mean he's trapped in a time loop. Archer is the one who 'loops' time. Saber only exists back in history and in the grail wars. There isn't really a time where Saber meets herself. Archer on the other hand loops time but which branches off into other realities. In the first 5th holy grail war Emiya wasn't there as a heroic spirit (it is believed to be Iskander who was there instead) but on the second pass of the 5th grail war we finally meet Archer when he wishes to undo his future.

Exactly. I noticed this a while back because it was strange for a noble spirit from the future to appear in a holy war were only noble spirits from the past were allowed (make changes to their past lives through their wishes). Thus, the 5th grail war was an event from archer's past and Archer's wish was to go back and change it, i guess.

@ARNAKLDO That's his all reason for being in the holy grail war as a heroic spirit in the first place, he wants to kill himself to stop himself going through a load of killing to make a greater good that only left him in despair. He thought it was foolish that he'd dedicated his life to something that caused him so much grief when he realised his ideals can't be perfect. After he died he became a holy spirit which transended through time, allowing him to appear before he became renowned.

Iksander would have been kind of strange, since Iksander is definately more suited to be Saber or Rider (which he is in the 4th War)...I can't think of him as Archer : /. Well there are enough possibilities for an Archer Servant....Robin Hood for example (which was used in Fate/extra)
