@kristopherDay Yes! A Ron Paul and Phil Donahue ticket! That'd be awesome! As always, Phil is awesome and telling it like it is. Phil Donohue wishes for the good old days of Saddam Hussein. He doesn't explain that America created the monster and then had an obligation to euthanase it. He doesn't also explain his need for fuel for his SUV or how Muslim factionalism or religion in general make an impossible scenario worse. Nor does he stand up for the kurds. There's alot missing from this 'Great American'
Phil Donohue is such a sanctimonious holier than thou twat. Listen to the nauseating little vocal inflections he uses to try to get you to ride his personal emotional roller coaster. Blerrrrr! Vomit.
Keep it up Phil, you make it clear why liberals should never run the country. You're crazy. Democracy was imposed on Japan at gunpoint, and it worked. I'm sure Iraqis prefer voting for their government, as opposed to being ruled by a dictator.
"War on terrorism" doesn't make sense. You have to get to the source, and it may or may not require physical violence. Religion is what motivates the terrorists. The extremists carry out the deeds which take tremendous courage. The moderates are complicity by not speaking out or renouncing the religion....
You really need to read Robert Pape's book "Dying to Win: The Strategic Logic of Suicide Terrorism." He is the only person who has done a thorough study on this exactly what you talked about.
Best wishes to Americans who don't get manipulated by the government into supporting mass murders in Iraq!

why does Donahue not mention the power of the big Jewish organizations in this? Why does he skip over the insane nationalism of people like Richard Perle and Paul Wolfowitz , the Jewish Manifest Destiny movement that brought on this war. The Media that laid down? No, the media stood up, stooby, and championed tihs war because they wanted to bring down Saddam, the Pro Palestinian who was giving money to the brave resisters against Israel. Tell it, Mr. Donahue.
Yes, Elders of Zion is a ridiculous conspiracy theory. Dohahue lost his TV show because he wanted to report the truth. That kind of censorship is nothing new; "It is dangerous to be right when the government is wrong." Voltaire (1694-1778)
Donahue's show went off the air to make room for shows with better rating appeal. With the mainstream leftist controlled media its all about money and power.
I am glad that Mr. Donahue has been speaking out against the Iraq/"War on Terror", and he is correct. But I must point you to his interview (on Y-Tube) of militia members back in the 1990s - this was BEFORE OK City and both of the World Trade Center incidents - and how he treate tehm then, and how he made them seem like they were crazy. Well, guess what...yep, it's all come to pass or is being done right now, and it isn't very funny now! I'd just like to hear what ole' Phil has to say now?!
Notice Donahue still thinks(or is afraid to say otherwise) that 19 amateur religious fanatics perpetrated 9-11. And he thinks they "brought us to our knees"--no, 9-11 didn't. It killed 3000 people and caused billions of dollars of damage, but to America it was only a bloody nose--our belligerent reaction to it, & allowing a dishonest administration to dupe us into war in order to bilk the American people of billion(& achieve who knows what other agendas)
Leftists? Rightists? How about "SPINEISTS"! Have you seem the film? Do YOU understand the personal, very personal consequences of WAR? "Reins of power" and personal sacrifice, to be JUST, must coincide ONLY in a justified war Sir. Neither Vietnam ("stop Communism") nor Iraq ("get oil") were/are JUST conflicts. Friends and families of these victims scoff at notions of left or right when they catheterize a victims bladder, or listen to garbled speech resulting from brain injury.
Most families are proud of those in their family who served with distinction.
A very few think that their loved one's sacrifice was in vain. The few that think this way are the ones that get the mainstream press' attention. Those like Cindy Sheehan. She will live to regret the way she disgraced her son's memory, his service and his sacrifice.
Vietnam was lost by the Leftists. Those like Walter Cronkite, Jane Fonda, William Ayers, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Clinton, etc.
I entered a question on the first Democratic You Tube debate as a "mother of a soldier". I want to thank Phil Donahue for exposing the travisty in Iraq. My son is in Iraq again. Colin joined the military immediately after 9/11 to defend our country. He was duped into the Iraq conflict and re-enlisted in support of his fellow soldiers. It may be too late for Colin, but my hope is that a Democrat will be elected to stop this insanity. Don't give up on our Troops. Bring them home!
Jackiechan511..He had the number show recently on msnbc..I can't remember which one...but Phil spoke his mind and his show whic was number one at the time got cancelled. Same thing happened with Montell Williams.. Speaking your mind these days can get you in trouble..Even though your right..They would rather cover stories about Anna Nicole and Heath Ledger than to cover the service men who are dying for nothing over there...I thought our military was used to protect US not to police the world.
You do raise a good point. No wonder free speech is under attack by the well elite. What I mean by elite is like large media networks, politicians, etc.... who try to cover up the truth.
I deal with many POW's from the wars in the former Yugoslavia and Africa in a professional capacity and the one theme that is prevalent is their DISGUST for WAR they all have!!! Doesn't seem to be the case for warmongerer McCain who was a Vietnam POW for 5 years. Not only is it surprising he was not killed in that period like most of his colleagues but by all reports his injuries were quote 'mild'.Now why did the Vietnamese protect this man so much amidst all the killing.MAKES YOU WONDER???
'The real heroes of that era have their names etched in black granite.' i more than agree but how about the other heros who came back home and got treated like S.H.I.T for 'losing the war'and 2 this day haven't received the recognition they deserve.VIETNAM was if anything a great example of how easily our warmongering political elite disregard the lives of the average American. What's terrible is that it only gets worse with hawks such as McCAIN and Hillary Clinton and puppet Obama up next.
Those Americans who have VOLUNTEERED to fight in Iraq are proud to do so. The opinions of Canadians are not wanted. But never fear, we'll keep defending you Canucks from the bogeyman.
They did not volunteer to go to Iraq. I was in Afghanistan as a member of the Canadian forces and have talked to my numerous brothers in arms the Americans and the Brits. None of us volunteered to go there. But we were ordered to do our duty and I am proud to do so. By the way if you think you are defending Canadians you should know that some of your training officers are from the Canadian Forces.
It's actually the Canadians who are fighting the REAL war on terror you fucking idiot. Who do think is the spear head in Kandahar ... Kandahar - you know, the palce where Al Queda is. BTW those Americans who volunteered to go to Iraq are mostly Blackwater, the sleeziest bastards on the planet, next to Bush and Cheney.
I agree that something like Blackwater has no business in Iraq, or New Orleans, or anywhere in a "free" country. We're breeding our own homegrown Al Qaida. And they're pulling down something like $600/day in Iraq. That's a lot of tax dollars to pay mercenaries who aren't even held accountable for their actions. Wait until they're used against American citizens in lieu of the National Guard and/or local law enforcement. Check out where some of Blackwater's "troops" come from.
I agree-your government with Bush went too far. I am from Canada-and yes you Americans think of us as weak people-but we strongly showed our voice and our then Prime Minsiter Jean Chretien heard us and would not allow our country to join the coalition of the willing vs the UN. George Bush forgot this as well as he also did the Consitition of the United States. God help those now who will vote for McCain and theiein the same people! Rome did burn!
I don't look down on Canada, people tend to look down on people of my skin tone though, so welcome to the party, but we really aren't Americans (metaphorically speaking) with the racial profiling in full swing (since forever). Until its time to go and die for this country that would lock me up quicker than someone else, and would pull me over because I fit some description. Americans are pretty much over worked people that don't have time to realize there are people running circles around us.
Well you need to vote with those thoughts in mind then uechiblu3000. Many people in Canada are the same-overworked and underpaid and tired (aside of Conrad Black who is now in jail-WHOWHOOOOOOO!) Hence the minority who voted last week put in the same old monkey (but luckily a minority). I truly hope your people decide on a more futuristic thinking person than the Bush descendents!
GO-USA-Go-try a change for the good of all on the planet!
Anti-war protesters are weak-kneed, limp-wristed and angered by those who hold freedom to be worth personal sacrifice. As an example, Phil Donahue would be warmly welcomed by the fairies who have been demanding the closure of the Marine recruitment center located in Berkeley, California.
I believe you have to subscribe to either a cable or satellite service to receive Fox News products. I do not have a subscription to either service.
Poor George, he blames the media. George, do I have a choice if I fund your show? The Canadian government puts a gun to my head to fund the fucking CBC.
True, but seeing how I am Canadian I believe it's important to promote our culture. In this case the medium of that promotion would be CBC which provides a Canadian perspective of the news.
This assumes that the Canadian governments knows what "our [Canadian] culture" is. Why do they know this? Because they have the power of force? If culture is forced down your throat, in what sense can you say it's "your" culture?
Again you make a valid point. But it's impossible to assume what Canadian culture is. CBC presents the news domestic and foreign through a Canadian perspective. I appreciate that compared to other channels such as ABC MSNBC FOX CNN.
Plus, I tend to find our journalism more detailed and engaging.
150K US troops,1M dead Iraqis all victims of the horse shit lies about 911. When will anybody in the media including PD start saying the truth. This country and its military has been hijacked by the Bush-Co crime syndicate. There is no and never was a plan to leave Iraq. Plz read PNAC.
sevendayz sir, you are forgetting that NOBODY IN AMERICA SUFFERS MORE THAN OUR PRESIDENT AND HIS WIFE AND FAMILY (laura bush 2006). No amputee troop or troops family has suffered more than our president.
I think majority of Americans don't really feel this war. We have sent poor and underprevileged people of this country to fight while we sat on our couch watching Paris and Britney, and ejoyed our tax cuts. Why does it seem that the families of our troops are the only ones that have suffered?
Starting a war with Iraq was tantamount to starting a bar fight. You might realize it was a mistake but now you have a big drunk angry person who wants you dead.
The U.S. should elect someone like Donahue for president , but gun toting republican homophobe religious right wing lemmings will never ever let that happen.
Enjoy your two party system of government and have a nice occupation.
Bear un mind, Phil is the same greed-driven ratings seeker who used to devote entire shows to the Chippendale Dancers. Donahue ushered in the degeneration of morning talk which has produced the likes of Jerry Springer, all in the name of money.
how can you say that phil? exposure of the undesirable details of the conflict could cost war profiteers billions. no time for a conscience, there's lots of dollars at stake. fuck education, we need to be safe. not safety from pussy concerns. concerns like poverty, epidemics, or climate change. we need safety from bombs.

Phil never served anyone but himself. The Nation was never taken to War the Army was and that is the problem in anutshell go sell you happy feel good crap to Osama.
the death toll(u.s.) probably wasn't the evidence of unjust war. the people weighed all the facts and decided accordingly.way more u.s. soldiers died in vietnam before they woke up.
We didn't go to war with Iraq in the beginning....we went into Afganistan to get rid of the Taliban (who were harboring Al Queda). We shouldn't have gone into Iraq.
And where are the Weapons of Mass Destruction? Anyone? That lie sure was swept under the rug. Kinda disturbing as it was the entire basis for the invasion.
As for them being there...they aren't going to change Iraq. We need to find a way to compromise with the various religious factions. Blood is going to spilled when we leave...but there was no way to prevent that the moment we stepped inside.
Coinsmr, I think the idea is that we shouldn't have been there in the first place. Just like Vietnam. We invade a country, with no thoughts about how we are going to rebuild it -- just that we'll institute 'democracy' The majority of the Middle East lives under a Theocracy or a thinly veiled democratic power which is actually controlled by religion. You can't just change a deeply rooted theocracy into a democracy, it just doesn't work.
It is truly amazing how seriously these left-wingers like Phil Donahue and other left wing Democrats are invested in defeat. They never tell you what will happen if we surrender, then cut and run. Why don't they mention that it will be the biggest blood bath, the likes of which you have never seen, very similar to the blood bath when we surrendered in Vietnam.
Thank you, coinsmr, for such a cogent statement amidst all the blubbering claptrap presented by the Leftists trolling here.
Many have either ignored or applauded the treason that was committed by the American media (Cronkite's editorializing in '68) and the entertainment industry (J.Fonda in Hanoi in '72). Tom Brokaw's "Greatest Generation" held the reins of power during the Vietnam War and promptly deserted their post. The real heroes of that era have their names etched in black granite.
I didn't even realize that about the constitution of the US... interesting. But if its unconstituional, how was it allowed to happen? Didn't congress vote for the war etc?
yes they did vote for the war resolution. But they did not officialy declare war. But they did vote for the authorization to attack iran (which was really like a declaration of war).
Rethink how you do your tags. Tags are the primary way people find videos through the search page. "Phil Donahue" isn't in your tags yet many meaningless words are. (I would also suggest including the name of PD's film in the description and the tags.)

I'd just like to hear what ole' Phil has to say now?!
willhahn 3 years ago 2
Notice Donahue still thinks(or is afraid to say otherwise) that 19 amateur religious fanatics perpetrated 9-11. And he thinks they "brought us to our knees"--no, 9-11 didn't. It killed 3000 people and caused billions of dollars of damage, but to America it was only a bloody nose--our belligerent reaction to it, & allowing a dishonest administration to dupe us into war in order to bilk the American people of billion(& achieve who knows what other agendas)
THAT "brought us to our knees."

Leftists?
BearBreeding 3 years ago 2

I dont understand why NBC cancelled Phil Donahue's show in 2004?
jackiechan511 3 years ago
Jackiechan511..He had the number show recently on msnbc..I can't remember which one...but Phil spoke his mind and his show whic was number one at the time got cancelled. Same thing happened with Montell Williams.. Speaking your mind these days can get you in trouble..Even though your right..They would rather cover stories about Anna Nicole and Heath Ledger than to cover the service men who are dying for nothing over there...I thought our military was used to protect US not to police the world.
knowitall1975 3 years ago 6

What's terrible is that it only gets worse with hawks such as McCAIN and Hillary Clinton and puppet Obama up next.

man, anyone who votes republican at the next election should be sent to Iraq to fight

Those Americans who have VOLUNTEERED to fight in Iraq are proud to do so. The opinions of Canadians are not wanted. But never fear, we'll keep defending you Canucks from the bogeyman.
Sleep tight.
7Yosef7 3 years ago
They did not volunteer to go to Iraq. I was in Afghanistan as a member of the Canadian forces and have talked to my numerous brothers in arms the Americans and the Brits. None of us volunteered to go there. But we were ordered to do our duty and I am proud to do so. By the way if you think you are defending Canadians you should know that some of your training officers are from the Canadian Forces.
rjspear 3 years ago 2
It's actually the Canadians who are fighting the REAL war on terror you fucking idiot. Who do think is the spear head in Kandahar ... Kandahar - you know, the palce where Al Queda is. BTW those Americans who volunteered to go to Iraq are mostly Blackwater, the sleeziest bastards on the planet, next to Bush and Cheney.
BanjoBoog 3 years ago 4
I agree that something like Blackwater has no business in Iraq, or New Orleans, or anywhere in a "free" country. We're breeding our own homegrown Al Qaida. And they're pulling down something like $600/day in Iraq. That's a lot of tax dollars to pay mercenaries who aren't even held accountable for their actions. Wait until they're used against American citizens in lieu of the National Guard and/or local law enforcement. Check out where some of Blackwater's "troops" come from.
Katidid44 3 years ago 6
I agree-your government with Bush went too far. I am from Canada-and yes you Americans think of us as weak people-but we strongly showed our voice and our then Prime Minsiter Jean Chretien heard us and would not allow our country to join the coalition of the willing vs the UN. George Bush forgot this as well as he also did the Consitition of the United States. God help those now who will vote for McCain and theiein the same people! Rome did burn!
danu1mother 3 years ago 6
I don't look down on Canada, people tend to look down on people of my skin tone though, so welcome to the party, but we really aren't Americans (metaphorically speaking) with the racial profiling in full swing (since forever). Until its time to go and die for this country that would lock me up quicker than someone else, and would pull me over because I fit some description. Americans are pretty much over worked people that don't have time to realize there are people running circles around us.
uechiblu3000 3 years ago
Well you need to vote with those thoughts in mind then uechiblu3000. Many people in Canada are the same-overworked and underpaid and tired (aside of Conrad Black who is now in jail-WHOWHOOOOOOO!) Hence the minority who voted last week put in the same old monkey (but luckily a minority). I truly hope your people decide on a more futuristic thinking person than the Bush descendents!

What do you have against anti-war protest?
Are you that much or a neon-ship that watches Fox News all day?
FamilyGuy2277 3 years ago
Anti-war protesters are weak-kneed, limp-wristed and angered by those who hold freedom to be worth personal sacrifice. As an example, Phil Donahue would be warmly welcomed by the fairies who have been demanding the closure of the Marine recruitment center located in Berkeley, California.
I believe you have to subscribe to either a cable or satellite service to receive Fox News products. I do not have a subscription to either service.
7Yosef7 3 years ago
Well don't you feel proud? Why don't you take your "strong-knees and wrists" with pride to Iraq and sacrifice yourself because you're a "real man".
I'm tired of nutjobs that think you have to approve of war to be tough otherwise you're a coward. I'm sure you would approve of a war with ANYBODY.

Poor George, he blames the media. George, do I have a choice if I fund your show? The Canadian government puts a gun to my head to fund the fucking CBC.
qtronman 4 years ago
I prefer funding a Canadian station.
crazycamel2321 3 years ago
Prefer implies choice.
qtronman 3 years ago
True, but seeing how I am Canadian I believe it's important to promote our culture. In this case the medium of that promotion would be CBC which provides a Canadian perspective of the news.
But valid point.
crazycamel2321 3 years ago
This assumes that the Canadian governments knows what "our [Canadian] culture" is. Why do they know this? Because they have the power of force? If culture is forced down your throat, in what sense can you say it's "your" culture?
qtronman 3 years ago
Again you make a valid point. But it's impossible to assume what Canadian culture is. CBC presents the news domestic and foreign through a Canadian perspective. I appreciate that compared to other channels such as ABC MSNBC FOX CNN.
Plus, I tend to find our journalism more detailed and engaging.

185,000 Blackwater Merc's
160,000 US soldiers
in Iraq.
What jobs are these people going to do when they return?
Until a written plan of what these people are qualified to do when they return, they will never return.
They won't be patrolling the borders, as Harper/Day's NAU/SPP is trying to open them.
Unless, these soldiers will be distributed around all of The North American Union's borders. Shell shocked border guards, great.

And where are the Weapons of Mass Destruction? Anyone? That lie sure was swept under the rug. Kinda disturbing as it was the entire basis for the invasion.
MiltPalacio 4 years ago 4
As for them being there...they aren't going to change Iraq. We need to find a way to compromise with the various religious factions. Blood is going to spilled when we leave...but there was no way to prevent that the moment we stepped inside.
MiltPalacio 4 years ago
Coinsmr, I think the idea is that we shouldn't have been there in the first place. Just like Vietnam. We invade a country, with no thoughts about how we are going to rebuild it -- just that we'll institute 'democracy' The majority of the Middle East lives under a Theocracy or a thinly veiled democratic power which is actually controlled by religion. You can't just change a deeply rooted theocracy into a democracy, it just doesn't work.
MiltPalacio 4 years ago 2
It is truly amazing how seriously these left-wingers like Phil Donahue and other left wing Democrats are invested in defeat. They never tell you what will happen if we surrender, then cut and run. Why don't they mention that it will be the biggest blood bath, the likes of which you have never seen, very similar to the blood bath when we surrendered in Vietnam.

skatebawd 4 years ago
Thank you, coinsmr, for such a cogent statement amidst all the blubbering claptrap presented by the Leftists trolling here.
Many have either ignored or applauded the treason that was committed by the American media (Cronkite's editorializing in '68) and the entertainment industry (J.Fonda in Hanoi in '72). Tom Brokaw's "Greatest Generation" held the reins of power during the Vietnam War and promptly deserted their post. The real heroes of that era have their names etched in black granite.

Rethink how you do your tags. Tags are the primary way people find videos through the search page. "Phil Donahue" isn't in your tags yet many meaningless words are. (I would also suggest including the name of PD's film in the description and the tags.)
