The largest increase in tobacco taxes took effect despite Obama's promise not to raise taxes of any kind on families earning under $250,000 or individuals under $200,000.
This is one tax that disproportionately affects the poor, who are more likely to smoke than the rich.

He is not GOD. Do not expect him to make everything perfect. Every decision he made will have a downside and can be subject to criticism. However, I think his decisions are the best decision giving all the considerations.

So legally according to US law these bonuses to AIG were to be paid or AIG would be sued for 3x the amount. This money is to be used only for one propose, not to line to pockets of any one single man, The US is not allowing this money to be misused. I believe the govt should not be involved in these bailouts at all. Insolvent companies deserve to fail and the govt should not intervene to crutch them up. We are in Asia and have been comparing our politicians with Obama. I have to say. He is a good president.
He is not GOD. Do not expect him to make everything perfect. Every decision he made will have a downside and can be subject to criticism. However, I think his decisions are the best decision giving all the considerations.
I did not like him all that much when he was running. But after watching how he faces problems and how to solve the problems I think he is a great man.

This money is to be used only for one propose, not to line to pockets of any one single man, The US is not allowing this money to be misused. That is a drop in the bucket that they just happened to catch and when they did they tried to cover it up. The bailout was a terrible idea to begin with. I believe the govt should not be involved in these bailouts at all. Insolvent companies deserve to fail and the govt should not intervene to crutch them up. Now Obama wants the government to be able to take control of ANY company--bad idea. This attempt to save the economy is actually going to hurt it more in the long run. (Inflation)

The problem is congress gave this bailout money to AIG with essentially no strings attached. Don't give a 4 year old a delicate antique to play with and act shocked when they break it. I'm not pinning the blame entirely on Obama. It is congress that made the blunder. However, what position did Obama hold prior to Jan 20th? Yeah, he was part of Congress and he voted for the bailout so he is at fault as well. Now he will allow an unconstitutional 90% tax to recoup the money that he and his fellow morons flushed down the drain? They are to blame but they want to act outraged and blame AIG.

The issue here is that he has signed a stimulus bill that has bankrupt the U.S.
& t.v corp such as CBS, NBC, ABC talk nothing about it.
The US Treasury started printing money last week, which is a declaration of bankruptcy. China now wants nothing to
do with the U.S. dollar.
Ask yourself how much the U.S. $1 bill will be worth when all this money we are printing hits circulation: probably .30 cents.
