Best way as of October 13 2011:

If u have money:

Power range with iron, then mith on cows, then hobgoblins

Welfare: sling, or bronze arrow to iron. Same monsters.

Sling is incredibly slow, very noticeable at lvls 40+. Try to use arrows if possible.

Spend some time to make money if u have to. Merchanting while training is very effective, and is what I do. I can afford to powereange mith :)

to save money on arrows use a sling or for a better sling do blood pact and use kayle's sling =P currently i have 77 range and using kayle's sling saves me loads of cash, should use it around lvl 70 when u can do good damage with it
