  • Awesome Video! Thx 4 the upload!!!

  • can i know the place???

  • The hand warmer looks good for when i'm out ice fishin, only way to know is to try right?

  • Emergency fire starter ROFL - just use a lighter..

  • @DvSLies That was my initial though as well, but I realized that a regular zippo just isnt good enough in emergencies. For one, a regular zippo's case isnt waterproof, only maybe slightly water resistant at best. And second, the lighter fluid will eventually evaporate. An empty lighter wouldnt help at all in an emergency.

  • @pcblah

    you are wrong

  • everybody reviews the handwarmer in side. Try useing it OUTSIDE on a cold winterday (thats what it"s for) and the thing is luke warm at best. Take it back inside and it's very hot again. And no way it last 12hours, try 4hours.

  • @petercampo

oh.. well we had planned to test them in the vacuum of outer space.. but I guess if you only care about them 'outside' we can do that instead ..

  • @petercampo i have had my zippo handwarmer burn for 24 hours from 1 fill up using the measuring cup. i like to tie it to my hoodie string then drop it down the inside of my shirt to warm my core. be carefull not to do it after a filling though, the fluid will blister you, lol.

  • kool emergency lighter were can i get spare wickes from

  • @smashdagash

    Prolly Zippo

  • meh that stuff is cool but at the end of the day its just better to just carry the good old original zippo lighter thats all i take and that gets me a fire really easy and i got two so if one dont work i still got another plus, if u dont want to have two with you you can just carry extra flints, wick and lighter fluid

  • holy crap zippo heaven

  • i bought the fire starter also i put lots of char clothe in there instede of the stix

  • i bought the fire kit it owns it real wwoks

  • All the things he said was brass, weren't!

  • when it turns cold will it stop burning?

  • @jasminrhea210 it's pretty much made for cold places so i guss not

  • hand wormer is a gimick get good gloves

  • @mjndblain

depends on what you do and where.. you must not live where it gets really cold

  • @GearBuyersGuide well iu liuve iun north quebec and it gets to like 30 c. minus and gloves are just fine

  • @GearBuyersGuide I live in the NWT in Canada, and I work as a river and trail guide. I have used these handwarmers on multiple occasions, and I must agree, they are pretty gimicky. They provide little actually heat, they are hard to light, they won't burn for longer than an hour without going out, and working, paddling and skiing becomes a challange with one of these in your gloves. A good pair of mitts with glove liners is infinitely better than this. Cool idea and design tho.

  • @GearBuyersGuide it is a gimick

and I live on one of the coldest places on earth

  • @GearBuyersGuide A fire warms you up faster than a hand warmer.

  • @GearBuyersGuide Nah i agree, it gets pretty damn cold here, and a hand warmer doesnt cover the back of your hands... glove are probably the better choice tbh

  • Just buy candle wax and a bag of cotton balls. Melt the wax and roll the balls in the wax. Wait for it to get cooler and form it into a stick shape. There you go refill tinder sticks. Or just do that and use a firesteel which will throw off better sparks and will work no matter what and will last longer than a flint wheel and won't freeze.

  • the emergancy fire starter tinder sticks are a bit expensive

  • @aaronjoyce

Perhaps, but how many do you plan to use?

I keep a few in various packs / bags, but I'm not buying them on a regular basis or anything

  • @aaronjoyce make your own with some cotton and candle wax.

  • this is awesome plz watch my vids if you like i like te zippo blu like firestarter

  • I love that handwarmer. Much smarter than using all those disposable Grabbers. The firestarter kit is a little silly considering for the same size/weight you could just carry a waterproof lighter.

  • @ icychap

Well for long term storage, there is no fuel to evaporate and this gives the tinder (fuel) to start fire, not just the ignition source (heat)

  • Great review. I love Zippo.

  • @JERMBUGS me too! :D

  • Zippo just does it right

  • @juggernautbjj77 the original zippo was a ripoff of a German lighter.

  • Like the tinderstick fire starter kit... Awesome. Small, for compact emergency kits. sweet.

Love that wind proof flex lighter... Great products! And I thought Zippo only made pocket lighters.

  • Is Cedar as good as Fat Wood?

  • good video keep up the good work
