  • Dub...gross.

  • @dekerf This is one of the best dubs ever, what are you talking about?

  • @dekerf

    Great dub, quit hating

  • One of the most beautiful scenes in Anime history. Agree?

  • He was alone, always by himself. Never anyone to share the game. He lived in another world. He was that kinda guy.

Are you living in the real world?

  • como se llama esa cansion ?

  • they sing off key

  • Spike is badass and he doesn't even need super powers lol!

  • FUCK I LOVED THIS SHOW and is vicious dubbed by batman? I just watched it in japanese

  • the song at 4:28 makes me tear-up every time i hear it. it's so beautiful, but knowing the story, and watching him drop his cigarette... damn, it just gets me every single time.

  • simple answer, the stained glass window provided great cinematography!

  • When angels forced out of heaven, they become devils.

  • 0 dislikes FTW

  • "Why do you have to go? Where are you going? What are you going to do? Just throw your life away like it was nothing?"

"I'm not going there to die. I'm going to find out if I'm really alive."

Spike only ever found two things that made him feel alive: killing villains and Julia. And Faye could never be Julia.

  • @tjman543 I'd settle for Faye if I was Spike. (also provided I didn't die in the last episode.)

  • I'm addicted to this scene, it makes the author in me orgasm with it's fantastical plot, scenery and music in a perfect montage.

  • "Hey... where are you going with all the artillery?"

  • I have never witnessed a more perfect or memorable scene than this one. The music that starts to play as he is thrown out of the window is so perfect.

  • see this is what makes anime great!

  • The scene with Jet and the bonsai tree is fucking awesome lol.

  • thanks so much! :) your uploads are such amazing quality.

  • what is the name of the music?

  • @lengyelcsaby walk in the rain

  • @lengyelcsaby green bird

  • If there was one anime the people in the West would both know and love, it would be this one.

And looking at scenes like this, it's easy to see why.

  • @TheJboy88 this show targeted a western audience.

  • Spike going to the church makes me think of A Better Tomorrow II when Chow Yun Fat and company are walking up the stairs to the final shootout.

  • That crow is friggin Vicious

  • spikes voice sounds like the guy from bulletstorm

  • @TheEminemisawsome

Steve Blum, he is the same person. :)

  • what is that second song when spike falls out the window called?

  • @Thepateisgreat green bird but i dont know the artist

  • oh shit i bearly noticed the red eye drug next to the roses man such detail in this show and the story takes you in damn best anime ever

  • Something is different about this clip. The dialogue is the same, but it's missing the reverb from being in the church. Where is this clip from?

  • Man Vicious is pretty weak compared to Spike. Every time they fight Spike was either already injured, or Vicious had someone in front of him so Spike couldn't shoot

  • steven blum is the voice of god

  • that's a pretty big fall to survive. i don't care how many bandages for get afterwards :P

  • He fell out of the top of a cathedral and he's still alive??? >.>

  • what's a nihilist like Vicious doing in a church?

  • @Requiemxtoxinnocence That's actually a pretty interesting question.

  • @allstar21369 perhaps he likes the poetry of theology " angels become devils when they fall out of heaven." or because of the good cover spots for fighting. That's the only explanation I could come up with.

  • @allstar21369

The church seemed to hold a shared significance to the two of them. Perhaps this is where Spike was set up by Vicious?

It's Bebop, so there MUST be a reason...

  • @allstar21369 my guess was this was the church where Spike "died", Vicious went there knowing Spike would return on Mao's death, also the concept of "killing on holy ground" or sanctified soil, maybe Vicious had enough respect for Spike to do this...I dunno :)

  • @allstar21369 churches in near future will be monouments and probably isolated ones :P (good for suck transactions :D )

  • @Requiemxtoxinnocence it maybe because the church is in such a crumbling/broken state that he's there, some kind of crazy symbolism or something

  • @Requiemxtoxinnocence also that could very well be the same church spike "died in" three years ago, which would explain vicious wanting to use it as well as the destruction

  • @Requiemxtoxinnocence maybe he just has a flair for the dramatic

  • @Requiemxtoxinnocence dramatic scenary i guess? painted glass windows and that they might of thought it wud make a great fight scene... which it did :)

  • @Requiemxtoxinnocence Maybe he's a nihilist who appreciates irony?

  • @Requiemxtoxinnocence It's probably for the irony.

  • @Requiemxtoxinnocence - either he's ironic or he always makes sure if he kicks someone's ass its somewhere it will look cool.

  • @Requiemxtoxinnocence Maybe he was trying to be ironic.

  • @Requiemxtoxinnocence The church is an abandoned church, which is symbolic to a "Fallen Angel" which Vicious refers to.

  • @Requiemxtoxinnocence I think it's the same church that Spike fakes his death in. That's probably why Vicious wanted to meet there.

  • gets better everytime i watch it

  • My personal favorite episode!

  • The greatest scene from anything. ever. for all time.

  • 3:27

    *Epic silence* - DAMMIT!

  • @HittokiriBattousai17 Yep. So much was said, and yet only one word was spoken.

  • @remmy100 Beast of a episode btw

  • whats the song that plays when hes falling?

  • @noestoyfacil

Green Bird performed by Gabriel Robin

  • 0 dislikes, how it should be.

  • oooo que elegancia de capituloooo!

  • Song from 4;50 ? its awesome ;]

  • man is incredible show but my favorite episode is this and the perriot one just amazing.

  • Cowboy Bebop shits all over every anime--and every other TV show--to ever air.

  • @likemy guessing you missed the wire and deawood...

  • So beautiful.

  • I honestly do not think Green Bird could ever be so masterfully integrated with any anime, or any other visual piece for that matter, better than what is seen in this single 22 minute Masterpiece.

  • what are the two songs?

  • @MultiDarklord13 Don't know if someone has answered already, but they're Rain and Green Bird ;)

  • @yuffie24neddea24 i found out green bird but thanks for telling me about the first song.

  • My favourite episode and favourite part in the series

  • If a movie was to ever do that song wile a man was pushed out the window of a church would equal best scene ever

  • any one notice, Fayes face gets covered in blood, then like a minute later, it's clean again despite her hands still being restrained?

  • fuckin' spike man...

wasn't gonna fall off a building without first leaving a little gift. :')

  • probably one of the best anime scenes I have seen in years.

  • personally i believe cowboy bebop is more than just an anime or cartoon or wateva i think it's artistic and very much poetic, dealing with major themes of love, power, greed and betrayal. and in my opinion to this day i haven't seen anything on tv with this type of substance real or animated.

  • I still think this is the best Anime of All Time, no matter how many anime's come to the scene, the story and plot, fun adventurous level of Cowboy Bebop exceeds them all :) Awesomeness!

  • This video looks so good on here. They are normally really dark and grainy. Nice work and great series

  • Cowboy Bebop is a master piece!

  • Best scene in an anime ever, and IMO best dubbing in an anime ever. This is the only anime were I actually prefer the English voices over the Japanese ones.

  • man if only a prequel would be made and see spike when he was climbing up the underworld latter and the exchange of words that spike and vicious exchange in this scene is epic man i hope the live action movie don't suck thanks for uploading

  • @Ablethe7 Keanu Reeves is slated to play Spike...so it already kind of sucks. Let's hope Watanabe can pull some actual acting out of him.

  • @USAon3 I heard of Keanu doing this so its kind of iffy for me you know and he was on the project for the live action akira but he dropped out

  • HEYYYY! Love this series..all time gr8 imo! Any1 know the name of the song in the background during this scene?

  • :SSS una mierda en ingles :S

  • best part of the show

  • I will never forget this Cowboy Bebop episode

  • aww man Spike and Vicious had some girlfriend problems

  • Why does she jiggle when those bullets go near her?

Is it the sonic force of the bullets? Should we care?

  • I think she jumped. I love it when they jiggle, though.

  • Well, I'm not complaining, for the record.

  • Heterosexual :D

  • best episode ever, and best anime ever ! such a masterpiece was this episode, I will never forget ! the flashback/falling was the best scene ever.

  • I know somebody who initially said (at 24 yrs) that all cartoons (western or eastern) are childish. After watching this particular episode he was hooked on Cowboy Bebop. Now, at 32, he still watches it religiously 1 episode each weekend (since then!!!) and complains that movies nowadays lack substance.

  • what is the name of the song at the beginning of the clip? I know the one at the end but idk the one at the beginning. Help please

  • @dougbsu Rain, by Yoko Kanno. Sung by Steve Conte.

  • this is going to my ipod!!!

  • this is my favorite scene in the series - i "taped" it a long time ago and the tape is set at this scene so I could watch it whenever I felt like it.

  • What's the name of the song Julia's singing?

  • This show leaves me in awe.

  • One of the best anime scenes ever.

  • The best scene from the best anime.

  • Damn how big is Jet's cellphone lol. You'd think in the future there would be tiny phones!

  • One of the very few examples of anime dubbed well. Steve Blum is perfect as Spike.

  • episode 5 is the best ep in the series imo.

  • What an epic fall/flashback scene. I'm glad I just recentley started watching this show. It's pretty awesome.

  • ya i just started it too

  • the best show ever, my favorite part

  • Oooh... So clear!....

  • This episode alone is just a masterpiece in itself. Those haunting songs, the animation and the such - and not to mention the dubbing - these are what made this anime truly memorable.

  • Just that scene is a masterpiece.
