Hi, Thanks for your test review. Anvi Smart defender didn't have the malicious link protection function at the moment. After we add it, we hope you could test it again.
@char1661 1. I use Windows every day at work. 2. My mac will never be hit hard because there is 1/100000 pc viruses end have very limited power! Bye ignorant
@The40nontyy3 there are over 2 million for windows virus/malware and only 1 malware and 2 worms for mac os x and one of the worms can only hurt a powerpc
@belmarfilms If you have the last version of mac os x there is an FREE anti malware software integrated that protect you from 99.9% of malware, so you are talking shit men.
I download shit from the internet alltheway allthedays never had a malware virus or what so ever, never PAID for antivirus. On microsoft windows withaut a antivirus(sometimes even if you have it as demonstrated by malware geek) all your data easily deleted & MUCH MORE FOR FREE! Only on windows!
@The40nontyy3 Guess what? Those are the words of someone who doesn't know how to use Windows. You're right, Windows does get infected easier, because there is more malware for it. But you want Windows users to switch over to Mac, and if that happens, guess who else will switch over? The malware writers. At that point, Mac will be hit hard, and you won't be ready.
@char1661 Not true Mac Os X is a much better built OS than windows but still last year we seen MacDefender the 1st real mac os x malware, marketshare doesn't have everything to do with it look at os 9 it had tons of malware and virus and way less marketshare than os x has now. And Apple now includes a nonuser able anti-malware/trojan program with auto updating definitions and auto removal but in order to get the update u have to be running Snow Leopard. Lion came with built in no update needed.
@The40nontyy3 The OS X Tiger module, which I assume is what you are referring to, has serious flaws in it's core structure. It's detection rates are much lower than you claim, and it may be free, but there are also many free products for windows as well. By the way, Apple was still about ten years behind with Time Machine... it's called system restore.
windows 8 has MSE intergrated into its system.... there are indeed a lot of mac based viruses out there comodo antivirus mac edition is one of the good ones
The GUI is simply GR8! I can not understand why Avira and some other Big Companies still insist on very old-fashioned Interfaces! People also care about The Look as much as The Functionality and Efficacy of the Antivirus. Thanks Mr.Rynesandbergfan23 for this Test and I´d like that you make a Deep and Detailed New Test on Kaspersky IS 2012 which was recently considered the Best Antivirus of 2011 according to the Famous 'av-comparatives'. If you could comment on their Decision we´d appreciate it.
@The40nontyy3 Macs still need malware protection, and since so many Mac users don't think they need any, a larger percentage of Macs get infected than Windows machines... so, yeah.
@jamesjakejohn True, but my point is that all systems have security flaws. Even OS X has vulnerabilities. You make it sound so simple "Just get a mac" but it's not.
