Ken is playing ALL the instruments on this song and album except for drums and bass. The band leader for WASP once stated, "Ken Hensley wrote the book on heavy metal keyboards." N'uff said!!!
@1710libra Michael Tsarion is the worlds premier conspiracy researcher/lecturer/author. Dr. Bill DEagle, Jordan Maxwell, Leo Zagami and Alexandre Dumas pere are highly informative as well. p.s. Melting Euphoria is similar to Ozric Tentacles and Gong.
@42insomnia Have we succeeded? We think so. Before long we shall have covered with our narratives an enormous period of time; between the "Comtesse de Salisbury' and the "Comte de Monte Christo" five centuries and a half are compresed. Well, we assert that we have taught France as much history about those five centuries and a half as any historian. This passage is from The Companions of Jehu which was written by Alexandre Dumas pere.
@42insomnia 'I do not like the reappearance of The Jesuits ... If ever there was a body of men who merited damnation on earth and in hell, it is this society of Loyola's. Nevertheless, we are compelled by our system of religous toleration to offer them an asylum.' John Adams, 2nd President of the U.S.A
@johnbofindy58 I'm from Cincy too and my third concert (1974) included Rush (yes, that band), Manfred Mann's Earth Band and Uriah Heep at the Cincy Gardens. I was on Cloud 9, no 99. I learned how to play keyboards and guitar (and still do) from inspiration by the long-haired one.
This and other tracks were originally demos and Paul Kossoff , Simon Kirke and Trevor Burton played on them. recorded at Kens home studio. The guitar licks are identical to Kossoff's solos from 1971
Good old Heep style... nothing will ever beat it. Thanks for putting it here, even if it's from the time after they split, but Ken always was the genius in melody. Very good, very nice, thank you.
I was a huge Heep fan ( The Byron version) when I was a kid. I bought PWOADS when it first came out and just loved it. Still do. I often flick through my hundreds of CDs to play something and for some reason this bloody album just keeps ending up on my stereo. The songs have great melodies, hensleys voice is magnificent and I love the production. It's quite basic so his guitar playing and voice just come straight at you. IMHO one of the great albums of all time.
Proud Words...an album for the ages. I still play it often and love every track. Ken is so awesome. I've been a fan for a very long time...I am glad to see others leaving comments and feeling the same as I do.
hi twrr7, really great to meet a fellow ken hensley fan like you. i'm looking for eager to please but so far no luck. do you have it? could you post it here too? WILL BE WAITING. rock on!

Unbelievable, One of my all time favorite albums
has made it to the net. It was so hard to find when it was new and fresh which makes it all the more rewarding to have it online now.
