  • I guess there's only one thing to do in that situation...

    LET'S PLAY BALL!

  • lol, people think its eletricity thats making them jump. BRAIN FAIL!!! those fish jump around regardless of what u put in the water, just scare them and your eating good

  • what an awesome way of catching fish

  • what a wimpy guy

  • 1st Fish says: Trying to get headshot 0:24 Missed!!

2nd Fish says: Dude let me try 0:43 oh man, Almost!!

  • a small electric charge??? my ass

  • what a bitch

  • Since this video clearly has nothing to do with the myth you are talking about, why did you put it up with the myth being the focus? The carp jump with or without the electric current so that doesn't even have anything to do with fishing with electricity. Also. when agencies like the DNR do it, it doesn't kill the fish, it stuns them. This whole video and it's association with the myth and fish shocking are pointless.

  • why the hell do ppl get mad about this??,,,,

  • пидары блеать

  • they suck at fishing and do this

  • This is true... my friend does this for a living.

  • Free energy is finaly here! But the Establishment doesn't want ppl to know this,Go to LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM and get the blueprints for a genuine magnet motor ,Start the revolution!

  • Great new way to get your kids out of the pool.

  • Fucking idiots

  • it'd suck if someone was scuba diving or fell in while it was running

  • OUCH! that hurt XD

  • Small electric shock my Ass..U know those generators are shocking the hell out of those fish to make em jump out like that...

  • @xtraflo The "electric shocks" actually have nothing to do with the fish jumping. The fish in the video are silver carp and have a huge startle reflex. The sound of the engine produces the exact same effect (as demonstrated in a recent episode of river monsters on animal planet).

  • pussy

  • best device for home electro-fishing is using an old magnita from a model t ford...

  • Isn't that illegal or sumthin?

  • Talk about your occupational hazards.

  • when i was 11 i stuck a sparkler through a fish and light it on fire. im 12

  • What their doing here is electro-fishing. This does not cause the fish to die. It temporally stuns the fish and they are collected for sampling. I've actually experienced this first hand in my Limnology class. Very interesting experience.

  • It is not fake, the Asian Carp is the invasive species that jump when startled. The Michigan DNR and other vessels use rigs to shock fish for tagging purposes. 2 different things.

  • Yeah I think that other fish are also highly sensitive to electro-fishing as well. But my myth is testing whether the man in Kieve could have died or not.

  • I am sure with the generators cranked up it would be enought to stun a human, then it's just a matter of drowning. Fishing is the most dangerous sport in American, more deaths per year then any other sport.

  • It would make sense that he would die by simply stunning himself and then drowning, but the facts are that he took a cable from his house's AC outlet, stuck it in a river, and then stuck his hand in the water without removing cable, and killed himself. So, it's more bizarre and abstract.

  • LMOA no way fishing is the most dangerous sport. Thats rediculous...what about car racing, horse racing...how would fishing be deadly.

  • More people fish, get drunk and drowned in the U.S., way more then car racing or horse racing. Didn't you see the news 2 pro football players bit it, can't remember anyone dieing since Earnheart, never heard of a jockey dieing.

  • Actually I looked it up...its Pole Vaulting...by the way being an idiot redneck and drowning because you drink and fish doesn't count. The stipulations should be the ACT of performing the sport. If you were wasted drunk in ANY sport I would imagine you are more susceptible to injury or death.

  • Ummm....dude....That's probally because not many proffesional jockeys or car racers perform drunk...

  • @tomsaari just because it has the most deaths doesent make it the most dangerous spot. What's the percentage of deaths each year for ppl that fish? Compare that too any other dangerous sport. Theres probably more people that fish thats why theres a higher death rate but i'm there are a lot more sports that have less deaths by higher percentage of people getting killed doing it

  • @Devonmeister There are the most deaths because of drowning due to alcohol consumption. It doesn't really have anything to do with the sport itself. If in order to go bowling you consumed alcohol on or near a body of water, that sport would have the most deaths.

  • the ukrainian "fisherman" was a real product of intelligent society. but was the water really conducive enough? i mean it was a river, not a salty lake or salinated reservoir.

  • COOL! That fisherman reminds me of that Homer from the Simpsons Movie.

    "I think I got a nibble.... AAAAHHHH!"

  • PLEASE READ THE INFO ON THIS VIDEO FOR MY MYTH!!! How high a fish can jump or whether if this method actually works is NOT my myth.

  • cool now this is a mythbusters myth

  • Thanks! I'm glad you like it, it's been bugging me for several years now, not knowing the answer.

  • Wow, can fish really jump this high?

  • I don't know... but that would be an equally intriguing myth as well. I'm more interested in the pseudo electro-fisher from Kiev, though.

  • AWESOME! You should have this be the myth! But I agree, the stupid fisherman is much more interesting.

  • I wonder if this is fake... it was on ABC though.
