This movie does a great representation of child and human development, already we've seen the child as they learn to walk, talk, interact with their environment, meet and make friends, mimic to learn, recognize their superiors and fear...but there's another lesson to be learned quite soon and is the most difficult to stomach.

I am not a hunter, but I do not think it is right to demonize them. Nature outside of the human mind is mechanical, impartial, uncaring and it must find balance. We human beings have displaced all the natural predators of creatures such as deer. Without something keeping their population under control not only are they a nuisance to the ecosystem and people but they are more likely to live undernourished and disease ridden lives. Not very nice things to wish on any creature.

Killing an animal for food is absolutely fine. Whether or not it makes us sad, it's the natural way of things and is the only way creatures can survive on this earth. However, shooting them for sport is extremely distasteful and not to mention, unnecessary. If your going to take a life, you better have a good reason. And "it was fun" isn't a good reason.

Deer hunting is legal because they reproduce like wildfire, but it is clearly wrong to kill a doe if she has a fawn with her, also when it's early spring, and then set fire to the forest.

I help deer (I once saved one off the road after he got hit by a car. He was still alive and had non fatal injuries but wouldn't move by himself so I had to pick him up and move him.), but I also hunt deer, mainly because of overpopulation , and a bullet is more humane than a car or fire.
