I play a boomy aswell. I can do a constant 6k on dummies. Without using starfall or trents. Its all sp and crit. My sp self-buffed atm is 2915. I'm in about all 245, with 10 toc Heroic gear. Its all crit and how well u know how to stand there and pew pew. But good stuff man. Hard to find good ol booms these days.

i play a moonkin myself, can spike 6.5k on dummys but a fairly consistent 5.5k ish is what i can do self buffed. Moonkin rotation has to be one of the easiest, IS/MF wrath till eclipse, Starfire rebuff IS/Mf then repeat.

maybe check to see if your highest rank spell is on the action bar i hit 80 and didnt watch and i had a mid rank like 6 of my wrath on my action bar and the highest rank is 12 or so got to keep your eye peeled

Boomkins' dps is decided by RNG, which is pretty sucky.If we get a crit, we get eclipse, if not, we will be spamming wrath/starfire till proc.(which most probably will result in 3k dps).even if we crit, RNG can fail sometimes by not proccing eclipse.

Boomkin does huge DPS with only few skills.

All a boomkin needs is Moonfire, Insect Swarm, Wrath and Starfire. Ofcourse, something like Starfall or Treants are nice to use when off from CD but not necessary.
