  • Please Kevin, ride 2012 again for Suzuki and bring the the Rizla to the win!

  • Great video. I could do without the cam focused on his tightly encased spandex buttocks though.

  • @Blindlo: Mintyvideos is just asking a question. Teach without chastizing. Big egos here. Mintyvideos, you have to use the front brakes. It's you're primary stopping power (85-90%). You have to brake significantly hard without flipping the bike and downshift/blip the throttle at the simultaneously before going into the turn. Then, you gradually release the brake the deeper you go into your lean. It takes practice. A good place to practice is at the track...

  • Ride In Peace Marcos!

  • i know VR missed the M1............

  • this video isn't about hav'n a heart; its about mak'n it happen! Schwantz said its not about what its supposed to be, but what what works FOR YOU!

  • Ignore Mintyvideos. He's clearly never ridden a bike in his life. LOL.

  • Do these guys use their brakes in the corners?

  • whats the race at the end of the video with kevin going up the inside?

  • @yoseb92 Austrian gp Salzbergring 93?

  • Words of wisdom from the master braker....

  • This front brake talk is hilarious.

I hear Hardley Ableson riders claim that using the front brake will "send you over the bars." If you manage to endo that 700 lb lump of pig iron by using that tiny single-disk front brake without just locking up the front, I will be eternally impressed and personally fund your physics grant.

  • @BlindIo42 hah! hilarious!

  • You have to use the front brake only, just lilke Kevin have said. Use it before beggining the corner, and that´s it. The rear brake is useless. Kevin was talking about Doohan, who used to push some kind of brake lever for rear brake.

  • anybody else creeped out by the new police ad, where the cop is in camouflage of the wall??? its fuckin weird

  • im confused, a few times now ive noticed moto gp riders using the front brake, then shwantz said he never uses the rear brake, i was always told that to use the front brake would result in crashing...and it did. so i don't get how gp riders can use the front brake at the incredibly high speeds they're at without crashing. anyone clear this up for me?

  • @MINTYVIDEOS1 These guys have been riding since they were kids, they aren't jamming the front brakes

  • @MINTYVIDEOS1 I only use the front brake, and you just brake hard before you lean the bike down and you brake less and less the more you lean your bike down. It's all about being smooth in your braking.

  • @Raxaer thanks man, just shows how skilled these guys really are :)

  • @MINTYVIDEOS1 PLEASE tell me your joking!? Your saying when you used the front brake you crashed, so now you never use your front brake!?

  • @yes333yes lol i use the front brake but i don't touch it whilst cornering, i use it before i start the corner to take enouh speed off, then use the back during the corner and whilst exiting :)

  • @MINTYVIDEOS1 They are the best riders in the world and have an understanding of physics that is greater than the average turnip?

If you crashed under braking, it was probably because 1) you don't know how to brake, 2) you were overcooking a corner and braking too late, 3) a combination of bad tires/tire pressure/road surface caused you to break traction, 4) braking had nothing to do with your crash at all.

  • That last pass just made me feel like to jump on a bike right now!!

  • 0:22 - What was that? Mugello, or however it's spelled?

  • Schwantz is a german name also stands for dick, wiener, cock etc......

  • DanFrederiksen - a giant 300 pound anal wart on his mom's ass

  • surprised to see someone from the 500cc two-stroke era say anything besides "hold on and pray".

  • Cool man!

  • Casey Stoner 27

  • Omg, you guys do categroy hopping. I hate that -.-

  • Repsol Honda::On the Lead ~Stay Away from him~

  • rossi ....................

  • SWANNY!!!!!!

  • Pedrosa!!!!

  • Lets not forget a slight bit more air resistance like sitting up into the turn as well as the stabalizing effect as mentioned with a tight rope walker

  • I miss seeing Rossi on that Yamaha.

  • @farisduelmasters Me too.

  • GO !!!!!!! VALE 46

  • We need more videos like this! thumb up if you agree!

  • @jumboshrimp2006 totally agreed this is what motogp should post more of!

  • first sight i thought it was gordon ramsey.

  • @arekzed LOL! Me too! I was like...WTF??? :-)

  • thx schwatz

  • More insider videos please! They're just aren't enough behind the scenes of MotoGP! =)

  • SCHWANTZ 34 !

  • its phsycological for alot of riders. they feel like if they take weight off of a foot the can apply more pressure to their hands and in turn brake better.

  • Why do these MotoGP racers enter corners with their inside foot off of the peg?

  • @Muzzy337 Let me guess... 1)Because it's tiring to keep your legs in same position during the whole race. 2) A leg would work like gyroscope in case bike goes wobbling. 3)They try to kick each other's asses! But i'm not sure...

  • @Muzzy337 to stabilize the bike

  • @Blackops272 And how exactly does that happen? How does having your foot off the peg stabilize the bike?

  • @Muzzy337 not a clue how it works :P

  • @Muzzy337 It depends on the bike and rider, I'm not too sure why Rossi does it, but when Stoner started doing it was from the Ducati, the front end is not too stable therefore it wobbles, take it off the pegs balances/stabilise the bike a little. It is also preparation into the corner as well i think.

  • @Muzzy337 Foot off pegs and lower is the same as holding a balancing bar when you're tightrope walking. The human body just has a natural tendency to try and balance itself. So instead of fighting that urge; just go with it and make it work.

  • @Blackops272 its phsycological!!!

  • Yes, let's all lick Rossi's arse shall we....because he's clearly the best this year...hahahaha Stoner won the title on the Ducati in his first year with them! Rossi has made Stoner look an amazing rider by under performing on the Ducati. It's not nice to hear guys but true

  • Rossi on Yamaha was alot more Fun than now on Duc!

  • @sandroyzfr6 Don't worry, he's has a lot of development going on on that bike right now. Remember he had to get the Yamaha up to speed after leaving Honda also. It's just taking longer on the Ducati. He's still the man. Lol!

  • @lookahere He won his first race with Yamaha at South Africa, I know, because I was there, and it didn't take too much development, I think age has hit Valentino

  • @blondboyharrison I'm saying he didn't win but that the Yamaha needed to be developed around him also. The Ducati in my opinion is just not where it should be in order to compete up front. You really thing that age has gotten to Rossi? Wow! I didn't think of that. I sure hope not. I think he still has a couple of championships left in him myself. I just wish he was back on that Honda. Lol! I've always ridden Honda's myself, that's why I say that. Lol!

  • We want more videos like this!!!!

  • The legend speaks.

  • Rossi definitely uses only 2 fingers on the clutch, we have seen his lever cam before! Even in this video soon after Kevin mentions it you can see only 2 fingers on the clutch, not 4. I'm not sure about Rossi's braking hand though.

  • This was a good and informative video. More of these technical videos about the proper way to initiate certain maneuvers on the racetrack would be great and much appreciated.

  • moaaarrrrrrrrr of these videos!

  • moar!

  • why do they put thier foot out? like off the pegs

  • @Blackops272 To stabilize the motorcycle

  • @27TheDoctor46 thanks mate

  • You need to ask Rossi about braking...

  • @MrMilan90 Indeed :D the braking master :D

  • @MrMilan90 nah hopper is the best late breaker :D

  • @MrMilan90 You beter ask for Stoner, Rossi doesn't use the rear brake and one of the secrets of Stoner to tame the Ducati was actually the use of the rear brake at the time he twisted the whrislt!!

  • @rivasmen Haydens another one who admits to standing on the rear brake to get the bike turned.

  • @rivasmen Rossi is the braker in the history of this sport just type MotoGP laguna seca stoner vs rossi and you will see who is better braker...GO VALE GO...

  • @MrMilan90 I know but I didn't say Stoner was the best braker but the best using rear brake and the gas exiting corners!!! Anyway in Laguna Seca Rossi did'nt brake properly because he come out from the track!!! Actually he had to release the brakes to overtake Stoner taking the "easy" way out!!! Sorry for my english....

  • @MrMilan90 just type Motogp laguna seca Stoner 2011 and you will see who is the current better rider

  • @Haj333 Call me when your Stoner achieve 9 world championship titles stupid kid go and watch lady gaga hahahha

  • Rossi is the braker in the history of this sport-when he is racing with weaker competition like Biaggi, sete & others. Gets his ass kicked against real rivals, casepoint.

    2002-2005 5titles,2007-2010 2titles & only 19 wins.Lucky he missed 27,26,99 & many more 2 come.Casey won 23 of them on Ducati without Gp11.1 & less than 15million,watch Nicky kick his ass in upcoming races.

  • @MrNithinchandran Whats wrong in your brain ? Just look at his statitics idiot : 2009,2008,2005,2004,2003, 2002, in 2008 in laguna seca rossi show your pussy stoner who is the boss then rossi in catalunya shows lorenzo who is the best driver ever..I dont know why people is soo jeaulos at best driver ever ??? Gets ass kicked hahahahhaha he beats all the drivers idiot : like I said stoner laguna seca and many times after that , lorenzo in catalunya and many more and you can in include hayden..

  • @MrMilan90 -"I dont know why people is soo jeaulos at best driver ever ???".U dont drive ,u ride bikes ha ha.its not people is its people are.Get ur vocabulary checked u idiot,if he is d best then why cant he ride that duke.laguna seca, catalunya r d only races u hav watched & judge him as d greatest. How abt valencia 2006,starts 4rom pole & bins it handing title 2 nicky or catalunya 2007,got his ass kicked royally were himself said casey rides like GOD & there's nothing i can do abt it.Grow up .

  • @MrMilan90 -That Laguna shit,46 won b cos he was on d best handling bike on a short, tight circuit favouring handling over speed & power compared 2 ducati which is exact opposite .If they would swap bikes 27 would have watched 46 finish race drinking champagne on top step of podium.Catalunya shit was pure case of youth & exeburance over experience .99 in his 2nd season v/d 46 in his 9th season, wat do u expect.Wat abt 2010 jerez,le mans, estoril, valencia which is wat made 46 cry & run away 4rok 99

  • @MrMilan90 -No disrespect 2 Rossi though, he is one of the greatest of all time not The greatest of all time .

  • @MrNithinchandran He is the greatest off all time because he belong to new generation riders with so much titles...bye byee

  • Braking isn't merely to reduce the speed of the bike.. Braking is actually meant to make a rider come out of a corner at the optimum speed !!

  • @rylanford lol.. that ultimately means u DO have to reduce speed ...lol

  • @rylanford I think its more about getting into a corner!

  • @rylanford You're saying the same thing

  • Rossi 46!

  • @S01NOR i khow
