Perhaps they could have a setting for overall detail level, and the individual settings for things like tree density, building count etc instead of being absolutes would be relative to the overall detail level, so you could tell which thing has more priority for you and scale the detail levels of everything proportionally to the weight you give to each when you change the overall detail level?

In all fairness, for all you saying that FSX beats X-Plane, then why in the bloody hell does NATO, BA, Virgin Airlines, and even a few plane manufacturers commission X-Plane for training, over FSX. X-plane will stay the best sim, FSX is a game..X-Plane is a fully dedicated simulator.

@motokid032 FSX with proper addons is simulator too. Im sure that nothing in default X plane can match fsx with PMDG planes, REX and loads of other addons. Then what happens when PMDG and other addon developers start making their addons for X plane 10 is another thing, but I wouldnt say that FSX is not simulator.

yes things can get in the way, however over a week later from telling everyone within 24hrs + no comment on why a delay or new upload date is annoying. Just like when xplane said v10 release in dec 2010, then delayed it with their vague statements.

@Nikedude109 , dude it has been way too long since the presentation, It does not take 3 weeks to plug in camera card and press upload. He said within 24 hrs over a 1 week ago but still nothing, no comments etc. So yeah, this is why we are frustrated. I don't know what it is with X-plane officially, fans and 3rd party companies, but customer/fan relations, marketing media and deadlines all lack in professionalism within x-planes domain. Great product none the less, but still.

this old gen default 777 looks like garbage, NOT v-10 quality. You can't make a new major sim version and slap in crap old planes, continued lack of scenery and airports that MFS has, : ( not just lego bricks for plausible buildings, but rather replicas of specific airports) combine features of xp and mfs = best sim possible. FS has crap flight realism but eye candy of realism, xp is moving towards that but has amazing flight models.

@xplanefan90 yes the old gen 777 looks like garbage, but it is not included in v10, all the default planes were updated so the new 777 will look better. and also, MSFS scenery isnt that great, xp10 scenery will surpass ms scenery (except for the airports)

Correct, any little bump that causes the wing to flex would be a bump that effects the way the plane flies.
