@JelteRocks I love how perfectly he incorporates synth into the PT sound at any given moment, be it metal, ambient, psychedelia, or soft melancholy, or just rock organ.
One thing I love about Steven Wilson is that he's got magnificent taste in Microphones. It's exactly what I would use. Neuman U87's!!! great for guitars, Piano especially!!!! Even overheads! I have this album and it's phenomenal! I think I'm infatuated with the album!
@billzan0 yes, that's remember me lover. But i want to know what is the song inmediatly after that part, between 01:40 and 01:44....mmm i think that is the final part of The Séance.
I love this "Making of" Stuff from great Band's! Allways when a CD with a Making of DVD comes out from a Band i like, i allways buy this Version. Unfortunately PT never had an Making of-DVD. Even the Arriving Somewhere DVD had no Chapter about this. But it's really nice that there are these short Video's here...
Man I just saw them in concert. They played the whole incident disk one nonstop them some of the classics like way out of here, the start of something beautiful, lazarus ect. They are great live, unfortunately they did not want to play trains :P
hahaha they did play trains for years ending concerts. practically ever since they released in absentia it's been their most frequent closing song. figures they'd wan't to take a vacation.
I'm watching them this november in portugal! muahahhaahaaaaah!
My english is not good enough to say what I feel when I listen to PT. The only one I can say - I love this man, he makes my life better. I love you for this, Steven.
i know FOABP and deadwing and some songs from in absentia but i think steven wilson created sothing new that is hard to compare with the other albums.
but if you like his sound und his former albums you will miss nothing on this great cd.
Holy crap dude... If you posted this before you've seen or heard any of Gavin's (that be the drummer) videos, then I'll forgive you. If you've seen his stuff and you still have to ask this question, then I feel bad for you cause you are obviously clueless. Gavin is one of the greatest drummers alive today!
Well Guys!!! You are Lucky!! To see them liveee!!! I hope they Tour in SOuth america soon.. I cant wait t have The incident in my handsss!!!! Cheerz!!
How can you guess that the piano part is from Remember Me Lover? I´ve heard a 30 second sample of the song but I can´t remember the tune, the only thing I can remember is that it was beautiful. Have you heard that sample?
We saw them in Orlando for the FOABP tour, and even though I'm from L.A. and have seen a lot of awesome concerts in my day, Porcupine Tree is the best band I've ever seen live.
Off to see them in NYC on 25 September - and CAN'T WAIT!!! Love the cat. ;-)
I've only heard bits and pieces of Time Flies, yet it gets stuck in my head all day. It's going to be a very beautiful song, I can relate to it very well too, and it's 11 minutes long!
The shows that have announced as for now are just the first leg ont heir tour.. They plan to tour for more than a year. So don't worry you'll get to see them :)
The very first hit on the video sounds TOO LOUD! I hope the album sounds not that loud! The synth part is sooooo industrially chaothic! But the piano part is really really beatiful. It might be the main song's leitmotiv and I hope there will be a lot of beautiful guitar solos based on that melody. Can't wait to have this album in my hands!
As 4449steam said, the (beaUtiful) piano part is from Remember Me Lover. One can realize (as I did) what a good song it is just having listened to a few seconds. Only one of the best songwriters of all time can do that. Remember Me Lover is an absolute classic.
This is going to be exciting! I'm excited! This album will make my life. I've been waiting for this moment. Something like this, a 55 minute song. I saw that coming! AAAHHH. Can't wait! Wow, I bet Steven Wilson must be exhausted! How does he do it? Blackfield, Steven Wilson just recently released Insurgentes and Now this new Porcupine tree album. It must be rough. Well, this album will be epic and fascinating!
Haha I love the ending
Gavin:"Just do what you always wanted to do in a Rock Band but were never allowed to"
