  • Wow, I was very impressed with the Mach Five 2 sampled instruments. I believe Im going to have to buy it. thanks

  • @dprod1 They just came out with Mach Five 3.

  • hey i have one doubt... can i use this keyboard with some sampler which has a midi out and in jack.... and will it be more customisable and value for money than buying an yamaha mm6...

    thanks in advance..

  • do you know how to use this staff in alternative music that will do cool.....nice vid Dud

  • My friend you did a great job. I've got a question for you. in case you need to change the sample without stoping playing, can you use another device as a pedal to do it? not tu force yourself to do it manually?

  • @tiripepebanbo123 Thanks. I don't believe you can do this from within MachFive. If you run a Mac, however, you might want to look into a program called MainStage. I have no experience with it, but it is made to use music software in a gigging situation, so my guess is that it has functionality to change patches on instruments using pedals. But that's just a guess.

  • @keybdwizrd Ok, thanks I'll see what I can do, keep on working on your proyect, Ive already watched your website, it's a great job man, you should try to earn som money from it, I think everybody would pay for that. you're an artist. music is life (Y) see you!

  • great demo like all of your demos!!

try the mx4 as well if you can, it is a great software synth! i bought one the other day... endless modulation possibilities

  • YOU ARE AWESOME. Please make an Album...!

  • Hey this is some really cool stuff. I have always liked to hear the new sounds that you show... and I have noticed that you come out with some music, have you ever thought of making more? Some of these synths would be good such as the intense flute. But thanks for doing this, your work is cool.

  • Thank you very much.

Regarding composing/recording original music, it is something I should do more of. For the past 18 months a lot of my musical time/energy has been taken up with playing keyboards in a classic rock band. We were rehearsing every week and playing out once or twice a week. But the group disbanded, and I am not looking to join another band. This should give me more time to compose original full-length compositions (which doesn't come easy to me).

  • By the way, I assume you've been to the Music page at my website? Dozens of original compositions there in MP3 format.

  • Quick question: will MachFive 2 work on a laptop?

  • Yes, I have it installed on my Macbook. Use it when I am traveling.

  • Keep in mind that softsynths and samplers like this can require a fair amount of CPU power and memory. My Macbook is a 2.4 ghz Intel core 2 duo with 2GB RAM. My guess is that it wouldn't work very well on a five year old laptop.

  • I have a core 2 duo with a speed of 2.53Ghz and 4GB of ram on my HP laptop.

  • Then it (or any other software instrument) would work just fine.

  • I bought Keystation 61 ES second hand, since it came without the software I can't get it to make any noise. Is there any free software I can use on my computer just to make it produce some noise so I can learn keyboard a bit? Do I need a special sound card that has USB connection?

  • Hi The Keystation is a pure MIDI controller. This means it doesnt make any sound by itself, but is used to kontrol other sound devices. These devices may be synthesizers, drum machines or software on your computer. You should not need a special sound card, and tehre should be free software available that can accept midi input.

  • Sure, so what is the name of the software that will allow me to make noise with my keyboard. Thanks.

  • Start with websites for companies like Native Instruments and Arturia. Then visit websites like Sweetwater and look for software instruments and software synthesizers. There are some free instruments around... Google is your friend.

  • FL Studio demo and a standard usb port my friend

  • Thanks, I downloaded the FL Studio software and it works a treat. I think because it comes with ASIO4ALL driver. Didn't learn much about the computer side yet, but at least now I can make a noise with my keyboard.

  • If you've got a mac it'll work with garage band.

On PC there's tons of stuff you can download.

Native Instruments have some good demo versions.

  • Start with some free softsynths. Synth1 for instance. Or TAL (google it). You need a host for it. Check out kvr-audio (dot) com. You'll find lots of useful info there.
